Hi all! Let's talk about and share our Manor content ideas: from small QOL and bug fixes, to larger requests. Manor content currently feels abandoned and unfinished. If worked on, Manors could become more exciting, and something that more players will enjoy and want to try out. The base is decent, it just needs some adjustments!

Let's start off with the Manor entrance. Currently there is no way to visit the top scored Manors. Being able to visit and see other players Manor homes, like regular housing would be a great start.

Now getting into the Manor itself. A smaller feature that seems like it got overlooked: is the show/hide maids and butlers toggle at the top. Another feature that is available in regular housing but is missing here.

The inside of the Manor can start to feel dark when not being able to open the windows. Opening the bigger windows is possible currently, but only if you place something tall a few feet away from the windows and stand on it. Only then will the pop up appear. This is only a temporary solution, and no one wants to have to do that every time they enter their home for each window. Please fix the window hit boxes and make them lower.

On the topic of windows, only the 2 smaller windows in the first room can be opened, let us open the higher ones as well! A solution and suggestion for opening the higher up windows: adding a toggle button to open/close all windows when pressed. An open all windows toggle would be a great feature to add for all of the housing based content in the game, and could open up more possibilities for higher up windows in future homes.

A quick example of a possible window button alongside the rest of the toggles! Added the missing maid/butler one here as well!

If added, players should still have the option to open and close windows the old way as well. A toggle would work perfectly for the harder to reach places, or when you feel lazy but still want the windows open for scenery and lighting!

Add the missing Manor decorative flowers and trees. Currently it looks like we're missing a few of the different placeable flowers and trees. This includes: Sunflower, Small Banana Plant, Blue Rose Bush, White Rose Bush, Red Rose Bush, Small Bamboo Tree, and the Small Alaska Cedar Tree. It looks like these were available from an old Global Labs patch, and never added into the live game? :(

Grass patches/tiles. The addition of grass patches/tiles of different sizes would be great for creating a grass lawn, and yard area in the courtyard. They could be similiar to the Turf Tiles, but with no borders on the edges for a seamless look!

An Upgrading process for the Manor to have a 2nd floor, or a complete interior resdesign. This has been asked a few times previously, and a lot of players are unhappy with the interior of the Manor. It looks like there should be a 2nd floor, but it ends up leading to a balcony. There's a great floor plan that was created from user Arkhaden here: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Forum/ForumTopic/Detail?_topicNo=19276 . This design would be perfect and match the outside architecture. The best way for this to possibly work would have it be an upgrade, so people can choose between the old interior, or the new design to fit personal tastes. Choosing to upgrade should remove all placed items and move them into the storage, so no one loses anything.

Letting farm fences be placeable in the courtyard. Being able to tend to your crops at home would pair well with the Manor content! For fence rules: maybe only allowing 1 or 2 of the regular fences because of their size, and then possibly more old moon fences since they are smaller? This could be a small incentive from a lifeskill and RP perspective to work towards getting master farming to place more fences in your home. Another possibility could be adding a new fence type for Manors only. The fences could be obtainable from quests and/or crafting similiar to the other furnitures. Maybe still costing an amount of cp, so there can be a balance between the different fence types.

The original concepts from the 2020 Calpheon Ball look more aligned with what Manor content should be. These were early concepts, but the Manor shown looks like a luxurious but also lived in home with its surroundings. It also looks like there's stone paths, which would be a great feature, if they are craftable and placeable! There's also many different flowers, and bushes shown that aren't currently obtainable as decor. The location looks to be somewhere in Calpheon, and the orignal Ball post mentions Calpheon and Heidel as potential locations.

+1, these are all really good points! I too prefer the Calpheon-themed manor that they first showcased, I hope we gain access to it at some point in the future.

Unfortunately I don't have my manor yet so I can't add many suggestions of my own, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on this thread ^^ I hope they revisit the manor soon.

PA on new class cash grab, why do content if you can copypaste new class.

I really hope so too! The Calpheon version looks like land that has a lot of space, while still being a comfy home with lots of decorating potential! Adding at least 1 more style of Manor into the game would be great, if not more!
Personally I don't have too much experience with the Manor either, but decided to investigate and dive in a bit, hence this post!
The whole adventure aspect of the questing and crafting to get special decor items is an awesome concept. So if you enjoy that type of content and decorating, you will most likely have fun with the Manor :D. It also gives a different type of goal in the game to work on gradually!

I understand your frustrations. That's also part of the reason this post was created too. In hopes that we can talk about Manor content, and share different ideas to show interest in the topic.

I don't know too much about the modes you listed, but it's always sad to see content in games get abandoned or scrapped altogether. Which seems to be the case with a lot of content, and some issues in the game currently. Hopefully PA works on all of it.

There's definitely potential for this game to improve in all aspects. All we can try to do as players is share our ideas, and express thoughts and opinions in regards to the topics we'd like to see worked on/improved, and hope for the best. ; _ ; I do want to try to keep this thread on track for constructive feedback, and ideas regarding Manor content though.

Agreed. Manor has a lot of potential but is missing on so many points. Here's some ideas that I think they should really improve.

1. Placing housing items indoors has a lot of odd collisions making it impossible to place in good spots. For instance, corners and walls are a really bad experience especially with placing manor paritions which can't be placed against walls. What?

2. Bugs everywhere. There's several bugs for every feature and they are very pronounced. I won't go into this but it's fairly buggy.

3. Can't change the floors especially outdoors. I'd like grass please.

4. Can't place farms. Would be nice to place farms because you can farm in peace and actually see what you are farming. They could even make it look like nice little mounds too. Farming is so ugly and hard to do in this game. Being able to do it in your manor would open the doors for a cleaner and more enjoyable farming experience.

5. Stable. Where is this? I want a FUNCTIONAL stable please.

6. Please stop locking us indoors when our rent is due.

7. This is not manor specific but give us a housing item storage!! My manor is filled almost 100% with housing items because i have no choice but to use it as storage.

8. Houses and Manors should NOT cost CP! People are willing to buy housing decorations with real money but only if you give these people the freedom to do so.  I'd love to decorate, lots of people would. But with the CP requirement and lack of abilty to store furniture, there's zero motivation. Mind you that you don't have to have a furniture storehouse if you remove the CP requirement. Remember, you already limit how many houses we can own.

9. More manors in different regions. I would love to have a manor at the top of a snowy mountain and I'm sure people would really like a manor in the new upcoming asian theme zone. You could even sell these manors with real money and people would gobble them up. But again, no CP requirement please!

10. What's the point of renting these? It feels like it's unnecessary because it's not enough silver to even blink at. Gathering a single tree gives you more money than rent for a day. I think that this rent mechanic doesn't serve a purpose even though it was intended as a silver sink.

11. Make manors feel like manors. What we got vs the expectation was vastly different. 3 little rooms? Yikes!

12. Please fix the crafting market so we can actually craft cushions and stuff again. There's no point in crafting furniture when the raw materials cost more than the result.

These are just a few things that I noticed and I know there's more but if they can implement a fraction of these, I personally think mansions would be so much better.

Maybe thats something PA should look into?

You have really great ideas on all points! The whole Manor does feel buggy and quickly scrapped together. Hopefully if anything, they go back and fix the small things like the weird collisions, window hit boxes, etc! Also had no idea about the getting locked out part heh, that seems like an oversight that needs fixing too.

Grass flooring or tiles/paths would be amazing, maybe they could be craftable with weeds? That would be a fun crafting element, since weeds are fairly common from gathering and farming. Which could possibly pair well with farming being added in the courtyard too. Stone pathways would also be neat, like the ones shown in the original Calpheon Manor concepts, maybe craftable with rough stones? A bit more expensive, but could interesting! They could also sell the grass in a similar fashion to the Turf Tiles available for silver, which is probably more of a realistic implementation.

A functional stable is also a really awesome idea, I love that! More interactive elements in the Manor would be a great addition. Maybe you could pick a favorite mount that's standing/idling in the stable? Would be a really cute feature :D.

Housing Storage would be amazing QOL ! It would be great to just have all furniture in one place. No need for going back and forth from different storages, or homes to find the decor pieces you want to use. This would save so much space, and make decorating more enjoyable as well!

The CP requirement does seem a bit outdated for housing, especially nowadays with all of the different nodes and things to spend CP on. Same with the silver renting mechanic for the Manor. It could use some updating.

Manors in all of the regions, yes! There's so much potential for different architectural designs, to fit with all of the regions themes! You're definitely right, PA could sell future Manors for Pearls to justify the time and work spent into creating new ones, if they wanted to go that route.

Currently the layout is disappointing :(, especially since it looks like it should be two-stories. There's a few homes in Grana and maybe other locations, that have more indoor space and stories than the Manor.

Very true for crafting decor! The market is mostly empty of furniture, with it being a loss at the moment, and looks like it has been for a while? Prices should be adjusted to fit with current day material costs.

The Manor is mostly RP. It can be a fun and low-key activity to work on.

It seems like PA originally wanted it to be a more in-depth customizable experience, compared to regular housing. With yard customization, and quests to craft special furniture, and a bigger area to decorate in. That was released too quickly, with some oversights and bugs.

Housing in BDO is done really well with being immersive and fitting into the cities/world. It also pairs perfectly with some of the life skills, and is one of my favorite parts of this game! Hopeful that the RP types of content can get some attention, or even small adjustments to improve!

I truly hope they return to the system and finish polishing it to fit their original vision, would be such a great addition to the game <3 Right now it does sort of feel like an after thought ^^; At the very least fixing up most of the bugs would be enough for a lot of people too, as you mentioned.

You might also say that they finish and polish any content they hyped us with... Eternal Winter comes to mind, with the missing features and the pointless ones - like the frostbite - that exist in a place that barely anyone ever goes and spends less than 1 minute when they do.

PA had and has a lot of good ideas that simply get axed halfway through development or something. The manor is just one example. 
But yeah, it is currently a big, ugly box house in which to dump all your excess furniture and nothing else. Not worth the rent fee. And if we're comparing what we've got with what they were planning, it's painfully obvious the content was cheesed. Are there so many mice in PA's HQ? or why the need to cheese everything?

Give manor the stature and functionality we were all hoping for, please! And place manors in other regions too, giving them the region's theme.
