They've been around since the initial release of the game. They appear over towns but I mainly notice them over Heidel and then disappear at the blink of an eye. Are these supposed to be objects for house doors? IDK.... But I know one thing for sure...
Leftovers from some summer event a couple years ago. They get 'discovered' evey couple of months.
It's immersion.
They were added during a past event called "Mysteries of Summer", where we needed to perform many feats to get a reward (with a special reward for the player that does it first). And that event was seemingly disconinued, but its leftover platforms weren't.
It's an oversight that they need to address.
Ah I see thank you. I thought I saw these since the dawn of the game, guess it just feels that way lol. I may have been taking a break during that event. Glad to see there's an answer to this, sad to know it's not UFOs.

Honestly even though this was left overs from previous event..
I personally think it's awesome to have some sort of UFO like this laying around its part of what makes BDO interesting as well as makes you smile when people think little green men are coming..
But who knows 😀.. live long and prosper my friend..

I think those are in the Sherekhan area.
That type of platform has been used for some Terrmian events, other puzzles - and now Magnus.
