Hello,
My family name is Cryptidian and I've been a huge fan of Mountain of Eternal Winter since its release and I also wanted to completely switch to winter region meals for both Imperial Delivery and my personal use/market sales. But as some of you may know, the harvest yield of cold weather crops, which are Dictyophora, Mesima, Chanterelle, Citron and Red-spotted Amanita is 50% smaller. This means it takes me twice as long to get the same quantity while also being forced to hand gather the seeds myself, which is locked behind rng anyways.
Pre-winter crop yields are 60-80 for white grade, 40-60 for high-quality and 20-40 for special grade.
Winter crop yields net 50% less, with white grade giving you up to 40 and special giving you around 20 per seed.
With pre-winter crops, we at least get to buy some of the main white grade ingredients, such as Garlic, Hot Pepper, Pepper and Onion. Cold weather crops don't have that option. We have to gather the seeds by hand at Wind Nol's Perch, the number of plants is very limited and getting seeds from them is pure rng.
I don't know what the idea was behind kneecapping winter cooking to this degree, but I am getting frustrated to the point of quitting the whole thing altogether. And I don't want to do that.
So, Pearl Abyss, please, I beg you, add at least 1 of the main winter ingredients to seed vendors (Chanterelle, Mesima or Citron) and bring the crop yield up to the same values as pre-winter crops.
Thank you for your time
Most of lifeskilling content in MoEW - aside from fishing - seems to be more akin to placeholder stuff than actual content. Hunting monsters that are only there for quest purposes, dropping nothing. Plastic trees, lackluster gathering spots for everything. We kept asking PA about some improvements, but it seems they forgot MoEW exists as a region and not just as isolated grind spots as soon as they kicked it out the door.
Hopefully they care enough about the Land of Morning Light to make it a place we can live and work, and not just a sad repeat of MoEW. There's probably only 20 people on the Mountain at any given time across all NA servers....
