You can get to it pretty quickly by adding the Function to your pinned options in the new menu:

Then you just need to press ESC + 9 (in this case) and you can use it. Just as an FYI.

You bring up a good point.
I think, generally speaking, hotkey assignment in general could be looked at and updated. There is another that immediately comes to mind (Artifact window).

You can put "find my item" in that row of boxes at the top of esc menu.
use those side arrows to move that row of boxes left or right. you'll find a box that has a + sign in it. you can then add "find my item" to a box and move it so it's in the first 8 boxes.
