Completely agree. As a new player, i die alot to random things i don't understand, while for a season player it's quite tough to farm efficiently without PVE crystals. When earnings are 200-300m per hour of grind, dying once and losing 200m-1bil due to carlessness or simply the game stuttering/crashing is despair inducing. I wouldn't be surprised if new players quit the game after such a loss, since it takes all the fun out of grinding and induces a sense of fear and reluctance. It applies to all players and all crystals, not just high Ap areas where veteran players worth Trillions can grind.

Would love it honestly, I came back for this event to try the areas I was too scared to try before. Only problem now is if I get a lag spike and I die and want to stop playing because of my crystals breaking because of something out of my control.

Yes please, this is an outdated system. As it stands either crystals are flooded or sold out, the market is trash anyway. Find another use for excess supply like turning into magical shards and remove crystal breaking.

Highly recommend that you consider implementing this permanently. I understand that PVP is an essential part of this game but when it comes to PVE there's been too many instances where someone comes to flag up trying to feed me to mobs, then their buddy or buddies come and grief continously. Trying to replace crystals in the current market can be a pain and then some. I agree with the OP.

Would absolutely love if the crystal protection was a permanent thing. Not having to worry about my game lagging out, crashing, etc. and thus losing my crystals makes everything so much more enjoyable. 

Getting to recover a mere two crystals per year in case you happen to lose some is not enough
