I like your summary, finally someone who does not take one simplicistic side and can see also the obvious benefits.

There is another thread championing removing or significantly nerfing crystal break. If that goes through, feeding to mobs, which is simply another griefing mechanic, might be gone. Hopefully, the truly cancerous people can get pacified. Only grinding over someone will remain as a griefing mechanic. From what I read, grinding over someone is not extremely prevalent, since the griefer gets nothing and the griefed players are usually not annoyed enough for the griefers to get their high. The griefer just loses their time, which is what it is - boring.

I am truly sorry that some good players might get pushed away as well with these changes, but removing griefing mechanims has always been a total plus for me in any game. You should never counter griefing by more griefing.

This. The DFS peoples' mindset is, sadly, often: "I will always get what I want."
Refusing duels is in no way griefing. Feeding ppl to mobs clearly is griefing.
Hopefully, the crystal break will also be permanently gone - and here you go.

This is the issue, grieffing will be the only way to get spots other then marnies. This is the worst idea that bdo has had in a long long time. OR at least give us  5 min cooldown without karma lost killing griefers, so we can charge up karma and kill them at the same time. smh

If the loss of crystals disappears, it will just kill the economy of the game, the duel allows you to decide between the player for a spot. If you refuse the duel you will end up dying by the mobs, or you will no longer be able to grind because reinforcements will arrive to empty the rotation.

Here is the game that full pve people want:

-No loss of crystals and no loss of XP, basically no difficulty.
-No pvp because a PVE player is bad at PVP
-Put all spots at 250 AP recommender with a high rare loot rate.

Big they want a shitty game that will die after a month

Here is the game that PVPs want:

-From the difficulty, this fight for its grind spot and defend it
-Increase your stuff to be the best
-PVP and PVE content because PVP players are for PVE
-Difficult areas
-The freedom to be able to do what we want, and to always progress to be able to allow this freedom

Basically, they want a lively game that lasts over time, and in which they can enjoy all the content without being restricted.
