In terms of the PvP scene? That's very new.  Missed all the fun of the first few years, at least from the stories that I've read.  I missed it too, and I've been here longer.  "New" is contextual.  And the point of view is what it is, regardless of the status of the speaker.  Especially as some veterans appear to have concurred.

Those were the days when gear was capped at +15, though, so if you were in a PvP guild and met someone also in a PvP guild, you would be pretty even gear wise.

Topic is always the same: the cries of pseudo pvp players who have been blocked from exploiting the karma system and griefing other players. Period. End of story.

Every mmo game has pvp. None of them has the same problem as BDO. I wonder why? Oh yes: because there is no open pvp there, and even if there is, it is strictly limited and punished.

I repeat: BDO still has open pvp and no one is talking about removing it.
Anyone who wants can take part in pvp 24/7. He has a dedicated Arsha channel for this and a lot of pvp modes: rbf, arena, node wars, etc.

From my time in BDO, it seems the loudest portion of the player base wants "safe" pvp. IMO, these players want pvp that is capped, and cling to the argument that "The only fun pvp, is equalized pvp". It seems these players want to work towards improving gear so they can grind higher end spots, and grind faster. It also seems to be that the current player base doesn't want surviving in the world to be a motivation for improving their GS, and instead want a safe game world. I have enjoyed open world pvp since I was fresh out of seasons, in Tuvala gear. Most of the time dying, and yet still enjoying just trying to hold my own against higher geared players. I enjoy the feeling of being in a world that's alive and dangerous. I never understood people who get so upset when they are "pk'd", especially when it happens on Arsha. Maybe it's ego, and they are embarrassed if their pixelated waifu gets killed. Maybe they wish it was a single player game, and don't want their PVE grind interrupted. I can't speak for anyone else, but either way it has lowered my interest in playing BDO. 

MMO players are tribal, we all know this, and we love our games. MMOs will always have players complaining, and asking for changes because they love their game, and care about its longevity. However, from what I've seen this past year, this community doesn't even know what it wants. This community complains for the sake of complaining. IMO, the BDO NA community cries more than any other MMO community that I've experienced. I say "cry", because from my perspective, it goes beyond complaining. Again, maybe no one else holds the same opinion, but to me this is the softest and most emotional community I have ever experienced. 

I'm not sure if I will continue to play BDO, not that any of you care, but I thought that maybe I could share some impressions that aren't commonly heard from the perspective of a new player. This game has left me with the impression that a large portion of the current player base have never played a true sandbox MMO. Which leaves anyone who is vocal about open world pvp to be seen as villains, where they get dogpiled in most forums or chats.

Facts, let's focus on the facts...

Funny: when I refer to steamchart, people like you claim that 99% of bdo players do not play via steam.

Secondly: these last data are consistent with two other facts:
- the end of the holidays, so a lot of players disappear because school starts
- increasing the price of crons to 3m.

Even though they had been playing since the premiere, they received their first pens from Jetina. Some of them have not obtained true end game items until today, e.g. pen blackstars. Some of them did not get the dream horse despite 42 attempts. 42!!! And what about trying to get T10?

And as for topics where there is a lot of up voting regarding the restoration of the old gvg dec. Simple, perfidious manipulation. Topics started by some funny streamers and supported by the votes of their blind followers.
