Look the problem with BDO killing off PVP, is there is no reason to get gear than. It amazes me that people down vote comments like this. In PvE focused mmos you get gear because there is actually real content to do. BDO PvE content is simply run in a circle, the game was developed has a pvp game. Where you fought for your gear in order to enjoy the large scale group pvp. When you remove that or make it that gear doesn't matter, you effectively removed that motivation to spend 1000s if not 10s of thousands of hrs dealing with horrible rng systems for nothing. Every time PA messes with pvp it hurts the overall game wether people want to except it or not. 

BDO version of PvE content is to simply cap your gear and to make grind spots require more gear to get more gear to go to a new circle to get more gear. If that's what people want in a PvE MMO than cool bdo has 100s of thousands of hours worth of arthritis and carpool tunnel for you.

There is nothing else but pvp then, and PA has made it loud and clean that KR players want their never ending rng based gear progression and nothing more.

Well, you see it's not about PvP as it is. It's about stakes and game's core.

There are better PvE games out there, but BDO was since I remember that open world PvEvP game with sometimes cruel mechanics.

Enhancing, loosing crystals (and gear lvls if red) and PvP are all in core of BDO. It's harsh but it is truth.
Being beaten and then gearing up for revenge, fighting over spot along guild mates, or organic OW PvP was in the core of BDO. It was one of it's defining aspects along wast world, lifeskill, beautifull graphics and hate for black spirit.

J is on the path to remove some of the core aspects of the game because he's unable to combat the issues.
He's wrong with current approach. There were 2 issues with abusing previous system:

- There was system of protecting guilds that were not PvPing. If guild was not recently deccing another guild it should have been protected. The catch is: it was not working. It was known bug/feature. You could dec on ANY guild as long as you had no wars. So, what "some" guilds were doing to dec poor lifeskiller guilds? Undec current wars, dec lifeskiller guild, dec others back - rinse repeat each time.

- There was guild protection system in place. You could put ANY guild member under protection and they were, like now, untargettable.

What should have been fix for old issues? Simple: unlimited guild protection. No need to change system or make it more complex. Someone is being targetted - put him under protection. Enemy would have to flag, like right now. No need for current bullshit system and wast unneeded changes (well, 5 min swap and marni zones are cool).

what about the new arsha ? don't you here have your end-game pvp and reason to gear-up.
Seems to me they are working on something to please players looking for owpvp, maybe you should voice your opinion to have improvment on that part if things aren't like you seem to desire.

as for the "p2w grind-only-in circles-with-pointless-non-existant endgame!" it's what BDO is since day one. 

Since Arsha existence has never been able to solve anything, why would an anonymous Arsha be able to do better?

And again, there's no rule on Arsha. We want rules, better rules. If they want to please pvpve players, maybe they should try to work on a pvpve solution.

And since day one, open world pvp and its rules is precisely what prevents BDO from being a "P2W grind only... Blah". That's the point you and several others never managed to understand. ;) 

Except Koreans are actively complaining that the game is devolving into a grind-only sim and that the gearing process is too hard and time intensive.

New what? A scenario already commonly known. If it does not resolve anything, does it mean doing the same thing again will do better even with slight adjustments? Nothing new here.

I'm fine with new players getting handouts and I think we should stop treating this like a PvE vs PvP problem. Like you said, it's players v. J. The issue runs deeper to the core game, and the more time they spend doing menial updates, the more time feels lost to what could make BDO a great MMORPG. Most of those new players in full PEN boss gear with their TET blackstar are going to quit BDO anyways once they realize the deboreka grind that awaits them, and the fact that almost all alternative non-circle-grind PvE activities (attoraxion, boss rush, even lifeskilling) are completely unrewarding for time devoted. They will throw us bones like a new buggy class and darkseekers to keep us entertained for a couple weeks or less. Meh. I originally became geared for PvP, but the fact that the only way to gear for CAPPED PvP is through hardcore CAPPED PvE, is what turned me off from enhancing ominous rings, not dec changes. 

No but honestly what's even the point of that "anonymous" server. On the regular arsha people were too shy to kill other players because their name was visible? "uwu i better not be seen doing bad things or else people might think im bad uwu" 

True for the 2nd part. 

It is clear in their new zone design that they chose to double down on the worst thing in this game: the enhance system. Adding origin of something as a drop as if that's a totally legit fix to the problem. 

I spent around $1k in the game for outfits and stuff for my characters and left the toxic community for a few months. Tried to buy more acoi the other day for the pearl bundle sales, found out my account had been blocked for buying with a potential fraud message. And they received all my money back then. I made a few comments on facebook about PA and Paymentwall saying they need to fix it or make it right. I guess I got blocked from the facebook as I can't see it anymore nor the comments others have reach out to me on. I am guessing this is a sign to take my current money elsewhere. Anyone have any decent looking games like bdo in suggestions?
