New(ish) to the game, but it seems odd that the general consensus for bosses is to not use your best gear (on the offchance some of it may break due to lag or an unlucky oneshot if not fully kitted out), and to use alts (to save travel time for grinding on main).
My suggestion would be to promote using more kitted characters on bosses by lowering the gear silver risk of death to a boss, and to introduce a per damage silver gain incentive for using better equipment (and not dying).
EG: Each point of pre-mitigation damage dealt is converted to 5 silver in the boss loot for your character. This would make bosses more silver-efficient when not getting a lucky RNG roll and might incentivise players to use their mains more for bossing instead of tagging bosses at the end with alts, while also giving a semblance of "stat tracking" how much damage you dealt to the boss.
They could just get rid of penalties on boss fights instead.
Umm, I have a Pen tuvala alt at every boss, even on the nightmare versions I don't die unless I stand afk at the boss. There really is no risk anymore. If I brought my main I can face tank the nightmare bosses skills. All that doesn't matter because you can just turn your crystals off at bosses or swap to a cheap crystal set.

Huh, good to know. My only boss experience so far has been Garmoth, Kzarka, and Quint. Garm and Kzarka didn't really do that much damage, but Quint was able to stunlock and kill me fairly often with his Dancing stomps. Are the other bosses more like Kzarka/Garmoth?

Karanda, Kutum, Nouver and Offin Tett are the other world bosses. You can set notifications in your settings under Adventure --> Boss Notification
Vell is another world boss, but he spawns in the ocean and is shot down with boat cannons.
Karanda, Kzarka, Kutum and Nouver all have "Nightmare" versions that are tougher and more likely to kill you. But generally, boss alts with full Tuvala gear will do well against the normal ones, and skilled players will not die to the hard versions either (I don't count myself there, unless it's NM Kzarka).
It's really not feasible to schlep your main character to a boss every 3 hours depending on what you are doing. Especially if two spawn at once, which happens several times during the week. Alts in Tuvala do enough damage that regular bosses die in less than 5 minutes, so I don't think it's an issue.
