Over the past months J has made remarkable changes to BDO including removing major aspects of PvP to better accomadate newer players. These changes have made the game more equitable, I don't see the problem? Elion bless J.

OP mentioned the lack of guild raids, the lack of guild PVE content, the lack of group PVE content, the lack of variety to PVE content (ie: raids, dungeons, active bossing, etc.), limiting curernt dungeons to one per week and we don't have many to begin with, and the over abundance in gear caps which makes gear progression stale and meaningless, and his only mention of PVP was how there is no progress to be made via PVP .... yet you're here taking a dump on PVP as a whole.  Yet again.  You never offer anything constructive, and it just seems to me you take great joy in dumping on other people based on the PVP vs PVE political bs and want to turn another post aimed at being constructive into another forum dumpster fire.

OP is right -- BDO isn't much of an MMORPG.  That is, a Massively Multi Player MMO.  It's morphing more and more into a solo player grind in circles game rather than an MMO.  BDO was always a very solo-player focused game, but in the past, was more MMO because player-interactions weren't so shyed away from.  There was more PVP, and while not all players like PVP which is fine, I'm mostly a PVE-er myself, the community was more closely knit, the open world felt more populated and alive, and guild dramas and alliances were much more interactive than now.  The community feels more severed, the sense of being among others is dimished, and players are leaving -- new and old players.

You might be all for a solo-player grind in circles instanced Marni's Realm game that feels like Warframe (while not playing Warframe, for some reason).  But know there is a huge playerbase that is unsatisfied as well, and looking at PA in a negative light -- this includes KR as well.

OK so after taking a dump on PVP when OP barely mentioned PVP, you cherry pick 3 things with your only reasoning being, not surprsingly, taking more dumps on PVP by equating PVP to griefing (again, not surprsing).

1)  Guild missions are "kill x number of mobs" or "gather x number of logs", that sort.  By "grief lower players" it's easy to see how you're insinuating complaints about PK -- guess what.  You can PK people doing guild missions.

2)  World bosses are the same bosses we've had since launch.  Barring Nightmare versions (which are just the same world bosses that just do more damage and a couple different attacks), these bosses have remained exactly the same for years, with only a few adjustments to loot tables.  But the biggest problem here is the lack of innovation in guild missions -- and lack of rewards for doing so.

3)  Guild activities -- what guild activities?  Name me 3 "guild activities" that are worth players' time and any new "guild activity" released in the past year.  Not the same old tired, unrewarding, guild missions.

OP is clearly voicing concern over lack of INNOVATION while the game TAKES AWAY MEANING from progression.  Also pointing out how BDO is more of a solo player grind in cricles game rather than an MMORPG.  Why don't you address the main points of this post instead of derailing it into yet another "PVP bad because PVP grief" derailment.

Cooking or milking missions are fastest rewarding missions in the game.

Progression has and doesn't have meaning in this game, As with a sandbox game it makes sense for progression to be the same. One day I might sail and another day I'll knowledge hunt. While I dont "progress" gear I progress other aspects. 

I made no such point.

Many points are tied to PvP, if griefers can deny content theirs no point in creating more content.

If that was true, then why kr players are also disgruntled? Why content gets boycotted and cancelled? Why J made an apology?

Something is not what is seems... What sane person is going to believe this?

I think this year's calpheon ball will be a crucial moment for many players. 

  

Every year I've played so far, I've noticed player sentiment become a little nervous/anxious prior to a ball, like, "what will they announce that will be fresh and interesting? Where does this game go next?" And then after the ball, most players will feel positive and optimistic of direction. 

But this year, there have been SO MANY changes in so short a time. Players I speak to are very skeptical and uncertain of the game's direction and are unconvinced that the ship is steered wisely. A little bit of anticipation & skepticism is normal before a ball, but this year it is utterly pessimistic and anxious. 

NA has fewer active t3/t4/t5 node war guilds than ever before. Each guild retired makes the rest of the scene even less vibrant with lower variety to possible fights. Open world has fewer player interactions than ever before. The playerbase is aging and becoming more jaded and it feels like newer players aren't bringing new enthusiasm to counter the old folks' growing bitterness or apathy. 

On the bright side, I do still genuinely enjoy grinding in circles swinging a sword with a show in the second monitor, and BDO remains the absolute master of this type of gameplay. It just could be so much more than that. 

I hope he turns it around.  The capricious and unfair bans for playing the game as designed is what caused me to lose faith in this game.  Honestly, I don't know if they can win back my trust.

OP simply repeated all the concerns players have been voicing many times here, nothing new.

But if the fact that it is repeated by a content creator can help in this situation, we might as well take this help.
