What I am worried about is terrible item design in last few updates. Let's be honest here, blackstar weapons are the best designed weapon in the game right now, and next fallen god design will be something similar to Athor or Dahn.

We had to work really hard to get pen bs and I really don't want to change it to wooden stick from Old Dim Tree God.

At lest we should get a outfit box similar to La Orzeca with pen bs skin for achieving pen black star.

Every MMO is based on gear progression. We're using the same weapons since 2018 lol most MMOs force you to throw in the trashbin your whole progression and start a new one every big patch, be glad BDO doesn't do that and lets you improve the weapons you already have.

The difference is the time spent to get that gear. It took many years for most BDO players to acquire their current gear. Were as in another mmo like lets say wow, it takes only a season. 

I left other MMOs like WoW and FFXIV because I got sick of having the gear I spent precious time getting being made irrelevant and being told to go grind the new items. Now BDO is power creeping gear too.

Why do you want to not be "finished" what exactly is bad about that? Why do you want to be on a never ending treadmill where the work you previously did is essentially rendered pointless and being told to grind to get your weapons upgraded all over again?

I feel like the only type of person who could actually want something like this is the type of person who has nothing else going on in their life so they're totally okay with wasting their life away grinding in circles in a dumb game. It's like a puppet obeying it's master and PA is the master.

According to the enhancing simulator at Garmoth, Fallen God (FG) type enhanced to five ranks is 4000 cron stones per click.  The simulator shows for a 300 FS average attempts is 1,290 clicks.  The cost in silver is 4000 x 3,000,000 (cron stone price) x 1290 = 15,480,000,000,000 or 15.5T silver.  And that's not the total cost; basically you would need 5,160,000 cron stones to keep from falling back, and 1290 Blackstones!

We can assume FG PEN BS will be the same because Labreska, Dahn and Ator have the same cost.

With a 2000 FS, which is unheard of typically, your odds drop to an average to 198 attempts.  

PA should look at it from an hours perspective, in how much time do they want players to spend on their game for rank five PEN Fallen God stuff?  For example (not suggesting this is reasonable) if PA wanted at least 100 days per rank of at least AFK, that s 2400 hours.  So, to finally cap a FG PEN item would take 500 days about 1 year and 4 months.  Times three items 4 years.  But who can leave their computer on 24 hours a day for the next four years?  And on top of that PA would be accused of promoting Greenn House gas polution by encouraging AFK, so 2400 hours is not realistic.  The point is PA should look at it from a time cost, who knows they could be poluting the planet if they don't think this through?

You said it rudely, but sure pretty much. BDO is the only video game i play anymore, if I am not grinding for something in BDO I do other things altogether. I enjoy grinding for things that are better than what I have in an MMO, and if I can't do that, I have backup hobbies like reading novels and such. 

Like I said; I've had the same weapons for years now. Is it really so bad to upgrade on a multi-year schedule, in a game that I thought was at least partially about progression?

So then what, pen blackstar is supposed to be the best forever? You know what happens when players have nothing new to strive for? They get bored and quit. Never introducing new gear would be a recipe for a dead, stagnant game.

The other games put out new weapons every 4-8 months, mainhand and awakening blackstar have been the bis weapons for years. Even offhand will hit two years first half of next year. One of the draws of BDO is that gear is replaced much more slowly, but that shouldn't mean better gear is never introduced.

Now the method of slumbering origin weapon introduction, if really tied to the new guild bosses, deserves heavy criticism. If they don't allow c20s, that would also deserve criticism. That they're being introduced at all does not, and I'm saying that as someone with triple pen blackstar.

You're all also acting like this is the first time they've introduced new, better weapons. Spoiler alert: it's not.

I been thinking a fair bit on how this weapon might be put in and for the life of me I cannot see a reason why it would be a significant item advantage over a PEN Blackstar when you analyze the item cost tiers. I may be wrong, fully incorrect but a lot of things come to mind when I look at item patterns and what it might be. 

PEN BS = 150-200b

TET FG Armor 150-200b

Enhance rate = identical

cron cost for attempt 2700-3600

I think the Fallen God weapon will be a "chase" item like debos for example. Something hardly better then existing equipment combos. The reason I think that this will be the case is due to the item costs, enhancing ratios, and cron costs of Fallen God armors compared to PEN Blackstar weapons.

My prediction is this will be the 3rd iteration to obtain a PEN Blackstar level gear in your weapon slots.

I will wager that there will be a trade in of some sort to wind up on same gear with with old gears; let me explain.

- C10 Kzarka + Flame item will probably convert into a Fallen God weapon with stats = to a Tri Godr weapon.

- PEN Blackstar will probably convert to a TET Fallen God bypassing the lower levels.

- The price differences between all these gears is too radical and will bet TET Fallen God weapon will be parity with a PEN Blackstar gear (atleast sheet stats). PEN Fallen God will be the jump and probably equal to the sheet AP of a C20 Offin. I know how it sounds but i'm doubtful they will introduce anything beyond a flex/minmax endless item for veterans maybe with some improved secondary stats (at all levels).

Obviously this could be wrong and as I said but I rather it be this then the alternative which could be C20 weapon / PEN BS + Flame = Fallen God base than enhances to PEN. I'm hopeful Fallen God is a weapon system weapon unification and not a (huge) powercreep.
