I just read an article on Game Rant today on games' character creators, and of course BDO was mentioned.  This game has one of the best character creators ever.  But that's where the goodness ends.  The article describes this game as "uninspired", and I totally agree.

This game comes up with very few inspired things these days.  All the great content is from before 2020.  Somethings were improved, like lifeskill loot, but that's it.  Lifeskill systems were trashed, no real new combat features have been added.  Just new grinding circles, and new end-game-gear-mountains to climb.  The story is just as bad as ever, amazing lore is left undeveloped, characters are losing their uniqueness, their voices are muted half the time, and all the developers can think of doing is simplifying and steamlining.  All they can do is remove things.  All they can do is solve problems for some people that end up making new problems for others.  All they can do is go with the easy, lazy solutions.

How can that help this game?

Dear PA: please, since you have no originality left, and all you can offer is copy-paste, or cut and delete solutions, please, please, please, add some inspired developers to your team.  Hire people who are energized and care about the importance of every tiny detail in a living world.  Hire people who can write stories.  Hire people who love the open world of this game.  Hire people who love this gme as much as we, the players, do.  This game could become "The Most Improved" game of the year.  I don't know how this game won last year.  On what criteria was that on based on?  This game is chronically ill, and all you can do is practice blood-letting.  Don't let this game die, I beg of you.  Hire the people you need to save it.  Thousands of people will thank you.  I certainly will.

May you be prosperous in this upcoming year.

Name some inspiring MMOs and then explain to everyone why aren't you playing them.

Truth is most mmos are "uninspiring". And thats ok, a large bulk of what makes a mmo good is the community of people who support it through out the years.

They won't do that because that's not what their targeted audience (Koreans in Korea wants). BDO's acttion based combat is what draws the millennials and zoomers to the game as that seems to be the future direction for most MMORPGs but again, PA is counting on this to be the deal maker for them while they keep rinsing, repeat, and packaging the same circled content, with the same laced underwear female, half thonged female classes that lonely male Koreans in their mid 30s  are satisfied with at each Ball. People are tired of PA  bamboozling and won't stick around for the next ten years ( Remember in previous interviews PA said 20 years for this game and we going into year 11). 

I use to tell friends I played with during my WOW days that only WOW can kill WOW ( And they actually managed to do it). I feel the same way about BDO. BDO will eventually kill BDO. PA I think it will be a lot sooner than it took Blizzard because of who they cater to ( They only cater to KR while they have more than that region playing their game).

PA actually needs someone heading up as their leader that understands what every region wants and can meet in the middle " Jae Hee Kim" is petrified to change this formula and will try to use it for the next ten years milking the same simple minded people before turning off the light switch or finding ways to bring back all the RPers that left.

I know as time goes on this game which is for a niche crowd will be put in the legacy category because lets be honest people are logging in this game as just something to do until "NEW GAME X" that offers a huge pallet of diverse races, classes and alternate ways of playing that fits everyone.

You may have been right a few years ago, but I think most are wearying of the same old thing.  J has lost all credibility and is reacting, not leading.

Alright, so I think its time to put my two cents in. This will be a little bit of a read so TLDR; u can just skip to the petition below if ur short on time.

Lets get straight to it, I have no problems with this post or the discrepancies my fellow forumers have with PA and Mr.J, however the issue is we are essentially for lack of better words, 'talking to a wall'. Me, you, can make posts like this like the many before us and just like them we won't get nowhere, why? Well because we aren't taking action, as a community, as players, as a family. Its clear a majority of us are unhappy with the current state of the game but sharing our grievances and concerns without any reasonable follow up still ends us at ground zero tbh. So I ask u the people of BDO, the lifeskillers, the PVErs, the grinders, the PVPers, the group chat warriors, the RPers, the fashionistas, the Log-in to AFKers, the casuals, and the vets who have stuck by this game since its inception because they know the game can be the greatest of all time, why can't we take matters into our own hands? Its easy to sit behind a screen and 'hope' our cries are heard isn't it? That should not be the case. When we face injustice at the workplace or feel we are being treated unfairly, what do we do? We protest. We go on strike. We stop consuming. We have the power to change this game, so stop spending pearls, stop logging in, stop feeding into what 'they' want. PA is a company after all and when the money stops the executives listen. Money makes the world go round, and they too like us need their paychecks to survive. Dont wanna sound ruthless here; but cut off the oxygen supply and theyll find it hard to breathe. So without furder ado I will leave a link to a petition I made and if u care about this game as much as I do, which if u made it here I know u do then sign it, it will only take 5 seconds of ur time, if u can please make  sure to share it with guildies, servers or people u know who are passionate about this game, friends that have quit or lost interest, the more signatures we can get the better. Lets make BDO great again together.
