Low-geared players need to have the tenacity to become better. Seasons were only introduced three and a half years ago and this game has been going almost eight years.... Apparently PvP was doing fine without need for catch-up mechanics. Then, all of a sudden, this past year, this game has become Ketchup Desert Online.
Maybe I'm weird, but I can play this game relying on my own effort, and I have no patience to boast of.
Work is good. Grinding....... I do wish there was less of it, or that it had more meaning, at least, but if one is to be good at anything, they should either work hard or be super lucky. To rely on handicaps or welfare results in less need to pursue excellence. Sure, people will still try to better themselves, but as time goes on, laziness and sloppiness will take over.
History proves that. It's why all civilizations, organizations, companies, and games... ultimately fall apart.
P.S.
And if people and PA want PvP modes for all players regardless of gear, they should have Solare become a permanent thing. Don't see why they can't have that. Loot just needs to be balanced for permanent play, and boom, there you go. PvP that only reflects skill and wit. All players can access it.

nono im in total agreement, honestly I was once low gs, little story time here, but this was before I took a break last year, I was farming skill xp at sulfur mines and this kuno just came and killed me I was dead in a second and I was like dang that just happened, but it made me want to get to a higher gs just so I can defend myself if something like that happened in the future. Even if he decided to grief me which he didnt it wouldnt have steered me away from the game, one bad egg in a carton doesn't mean throw the whole box away.
I disagree the game NEEDS catch up mechanics, there's just so much, and more stuff keeps getting added, solving item bloat and consolidating things was very much needed and good on PA for that
But yea I dont mind the grind, again like u said I just wish it was more worthwhile, after awhile i just feel like a robot repeating the same monotonous task over and over again, and ur real life examples definitely make sense brother I won't lie.
History will eventually repeat itself but with the right steps and precautions we can delay that process almost inevitably
Cheers

I have been told that when you remove the cap suddenly skill goes out the window but then at the same time, it's like, "Yeah, but I aint got time for that". Me personally, I just feel they should raise the aggro mob cap for extremally mob crowded zones. If anything, that annoys me the most.

Well yeah, I would also welcome raising the aggro mob cap and area in many spots, but you know what will happen next - many "clever" players will stand in one place with a matchstick plugged in their keyboard. I am afraid that if you completely remove AP caps across the zones, players will do the same even in higher-tier spots, such as Gyfin. Rhutums and Saunils were already completely destroyed/nerfed exactly for this reason. And I used to like Rhutums. Now, they are deeead! Deeeeeaaad! Ouch ouch. /sob /sad /cry /cringe
I almost wished they hadn't "fixed" the matchstick in keyboard issue so that we care ride in peace. Seriously, all that was needed was the Spook to come and murder anyone who doesn't move while grinding.
And even that is overkill.
