Hello Pearl Abyss Team,

For two years I have been wishing that PVE group content would be added to the game.

Unfortunately, somehow nothing is coming.

What is available:

1. atoraxxion (Vahmakia, Sycarakia and Yollunakia)
2. 10x group grind spots
3. guild bosses

The existing in detail:

1. atoraxxion (Vahmakia, Sycarakia and Yollunakia) :
-The dungeons can only be played once per week on normal and once on elvia
-The rewards are too little for the time invested
-After running them several times, they are no longer fun because it is monotonous
-The mechanics often don't work as they should

1.1 Vahmakia:
-The color phase doesn't work properly, sometimes the colors just don't follow you

1.2 Sycarakia:
-When fighting the whale you have to hit the lantern fish to the pillars, they sometimes don't move properly and get stuck or reset
-During the final boss, the lantern fish often do not light up properly, which is why the first phase usually has to be saved with "escape"
-When the vacuum comes at the final boss, you sometimes fall through the floor and are below the map

1.3 Yollunakia:
-Partially the stone figures cannot be beaten to the invisible pillars
-The final boss on Elvia does exorbitant damage compared to the other final boss dungeons, healing is hardly possible (party members approx. 700 GS)
-The biggest problem is that the whole mechanic to even get to the final boss takes way too long, after dying 4 times and repeating the whole thing again you don't feel it anymore

2. 10x Group Grind Spots:
-Of the total of 10 group grind spots, only 3 are still "relevant" in the endgame so I list these

2.1 Tunkuta:
-2 group spot, you can quickly find players for it
-In the endgame the spot is uninteresting in terms of money
-Before the last update, the drop rate of the leaves and lungs was so uninteresting that you didn't even play there (I don't know how it is now)

2.2 Gyfin Rhasia (Top):
-5 group spot, okay, however usually hard to round up 5 people from the guild in the evening

2.3 Ollun:
-3 group spot, you can quickly find players for it
-Should be very good in terms of money and also leaf/lung, but we can't test it because there is only one spot per server and they are permanently occupied.

3. guild bosses:
-interesting in terms of money
-Provides an entertainment factor of approx. 1h/week for our guild

Conclusion:

Soberly speaking, the dungeons are no fun due to the complicated and partly non-functioning mechanics. Overall, they offer an entertainment factor of about 3 hours/week, which is not enough.

The guild bosses are okay for in between, but can't provide any lasting entertainment.

There are simply far too few of group grind spots.
Spots that require 2 to 3 people and are comparable to solo spots in terms of money would be ideal.
Grinding is simply more fun in a group, as you can concentrate on opponents together and also "chat" in parallel.

What's the problem with adding more group spots?

Best example Ulukita, huge spots, endgame, but again all solo.

With Land of Morning Light, huge areas have also been added, but they are completely empty.
The bosses could certainly have been set up as group content, but that wasn't done either.

Alternatively, you could have kept the existing solo spots and offered an instanced group zone similar to "Marni's personal monster zone", where everyone gets their own loot, but the monsters are strengthened life-wise with each additional player in the group.
At the same time, can you also offer more space for Ollun?

The Altar of Blood used to exist, but was removed for a very long time.
I hope that this can be made permanent with several people as an alternative to grinding (without time, day or week restrictions)

With kind regards

A BDO adventurer

I agree with this, great work. Personally I would like to see a rework to Basilisk's Den and Waragon's Nest, their silver per hour is abysmal and needs a lot of love. I've always said group spots should make the most money per hour in their respective regions in comparison to their solo counterparts and required GS

They need to get rid of "group spots" and make them accessable to everyone, and make partying up something everyone would want to do everywhere.  There should be loot and exp buffs for playing with other players.

The player against player mentality that has dominated this game since day 1 has created some bad blood.  Now, of course, PvP of party againsts party would be a lot more exciting, creating a lot more skirmishes and small wars that a lot of people have fond memories of.  It's great to have brothers-in-arms.

This way the open world can stay as it should be: open, and people won't be railing against PvP within it.

Perhaps this could work as a sort of mode, like how you enable elvia realm, but for group spots and they scale the mobs accordingly.

I don't know how the specific math for mob health and damage would work, because I don't exactly know how the current group spots are scaled. But couldn't they apply the same formula to -every spot- and have it be enabled or disabled by the party leader?

This could possibly shake up what spots are good and also provide group grind spots that don't require very much gear. I can't get my friends into the game because I don't have anything to grind with them. They don't have gear to handle bigger spots yet, and its incredibly boring to just one shot everything while they can't even keep up with me.

I'd have so much fun bringing some alt to group grind desert nagas together with the boys. Put away the spreadsheets for just a moment. I wanna play a video game with my friends without just doing my own thing while waiting for them to catch up enough to do content that's "relevant" to me and hoping they don't just quit.

The bosses could certainly have been set up as group content, but that wasn't done either.

For that one in particular, Just in case you missed it they already announced at the calpheon ball, The higher calamity tiers they haven't unlocked for us yet (8,9,10) will be group ones.

Alternatively, you could have kept the existing solo spots and offered an instanced group zone similar to "Marni's personal monster zone", where everyone gets their own loot, but the monsters are strengthened life-wise with each additional player in the group.

That would actually be kinda cool.

I would love to see more open world group content in BDO. Especially at the beginning of the level phase, BDO feels a lot like a solo game. I think successful social interaction is what keeps new players in the game (whether through PvP, PvE or PvX) and not this linear, meaningless MSQ where you one-shot everything, which every new player usually struggles through until their R button glows.

More relevant group spots would of course be very good. But I personally would prefer more event-based systems that are either triggered or take place at specific times around the world, where everyone can participate and be well rewarded.

I don't mean "events" like PA does, where you just get an extra drop rate or more EXP for grinding. I'm talking about real events that involve gameplay, teamplay and a challenge that is announced server-wide and brings together many players in the area of a region.
