I think the reason we're not getting any content is because PA is stategicly holding the major content update to match a certain MMO's Expansion launch.  Why June 28?  Expect a Major BDO Content Patch on either June 26 or July 3.

Heidel Ball, one of the two live conferences where they announce new content for the next half year, is being held on June 22nd. This was announced months ago. So yes, there will very likely be new surprise content announced there to be released on June 28th or a bit later, as it's always the case after a ball event.

Honestly, I see no extrenal threats from other games to BDO in the near 5 or years from now. BDO atm is in a sub-genre that has no reasonable competitive near-peer. Unfortunately, that means that Pearl Abyss at allotted too much wiggle room to abuse and not innovate the game. But in the end, it is what it is.

Dragon Dogma 2 proved to be exactly what I thought it would be. Just a grapichically enhanced singleplayer low effort cash grab. Guess we will have to wait for alternate reality and full dive VR multiplayer games, before we can expect something of value to come challenge BDO, FFXIV, and GW2.

So all and all I wouldn't expect anything truly meaningful far as new content goes for BDO soon. 

Has been announced at Calpheon ball 16h December 2023... so we should get it before June if we were to approach the fact that they always announce what will happen in the next half-year at these "events"

BUT don't forget it's PA ...disappointment is their middle name 

Not a chance.

Loml 2,the new class and Fallen God weapons is their big content dump of the year. It will get milked for all the hype they can get out of it on the Heidel ball.

If (and that's a very big IF) we are somewhat lucky they might actually be localizing it and we get a global release after the ball.

If not we will only get the new class and then a couple months down the line the actual region/content.

Until June the only big thing coming is the lifeskill merge and the Balenos revamped story (if they ever finish translating it,2 months and counting). After June/loml 2 expect a lul period of content while they work on the gunner girl and their new shiny content to be presented on December.

That's it.

Not touch that FF garbage again. If you like overly simple, spammy games then have at it. Run fetch quests until your eyes cross. I'll keep grinding and doing my weekly boss raids, running arenas, and farming life skills / mobs until they turn the lights off here.
