Our guild has recently hit an issue where 10 missions a day isn't enough for 94 people in an xl guild, another issue is the lack of kill missions that are "actually" doable, ie no kill any missions.  This amount basically means that only 10 people get to help the guild really.  We have been discussing it for awhile now and just wanted to put it out there and see how other players see this issue and if possible solutions people like.  We have thought of either 10 individual missions a day that either gives less silver or gives less silver to the guild but same amount to player, or x amount of missions max per day based on guild size, such as 25 for small, 50 for medium, and 100 for large, or even just doing a 1 mission per person in the guild instead of set amounts based on size.  However, we believe that individual missions would be the best and we are hoping that something to address this lack of more daily missions comes out soon. With the recent guild mission events showing that 20k kill any missions are out there and possible I believe that this mission style would be better than having to find a server that has an open spot and has a grind mission for that spot at the same time would be better.  Also can we get a button to disable the npc quest slide in it looks pretty bad and slows down questing greatly, and also only works for the first quest turned in if you turn in more than one at a time.  Ty for your responses.

I think the progressive quest capacity based on member count or guild size is reasonable.

is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the guild missions was a failed system? Like they had the idea but the execution was a complete miss

also interesting idea @Adonaj

Didn't they already say they were going to change it to 10/day per person, upping the daily pay to like 100M, and removing the guild boss system to something else? Thought that was in the last ball.

To OP: I, uh - you do realize that everyone can pitch in on a mission, right?  And get them done really fast.  But yeah, 10/day really limits some things if you have a lot of active members.

I'm pretty sure that they are working on a rework, but I'm not getting my hopes up. The GM system has been trash for years. Sadly.

- The list is RNG (the only thing they know how to do, it seems), which ensures you almost never find what you need, when you need it
- The list is populated with quests you cannot take (boss scroll missions for smaller guilds than your own. Ridiculous that those take up already precious rolls in an already bad RNG list)
- The list is populated with quests no one in your guild wants to do (whatever the reason is)
- There are many activities people like to do and grind spots people like to take that don't have any missions for them
- If not all 10 quests are done on for example a workday, then they do not carry over
- If all 10 quests are done in the morning of for example a saturday, you don't get any more
- Even the scroll missions you CAN take are virtually useless for players once the scrolls are complete. They don't provide any individual silver, after all
- Scroll missions not providing silver means many players do not want to do them
- Other quests providing silver only in a ratio of your own participation, means that other than the intent of guild missions is, it encourages doing them solo. People want that silver. Some don't care of course, but lots of people do.
--> The combinations of a terrible RNG list, with only 10 per day as a limit and it encouraging solo mission hogging, can cause discord among members. There've been many an argument about "theft" of missions/silver because someone finally got RNGesus to bless them with, say, an alchemy mission, only for another member to complete it before the player who got it could even get home. It's an example, but it's happened.
-->The system also "forgets" about the players who want to do different activities, like horse training. Catch 10 horses could easily be a guild mission, for example. Just like how "any monster" kill missions should count for silver when the scroll missions are done, because that will give people in grind spots that for some reason get no missions, a means to grind in the spot they want.

I probably missed quite some stuff, but the system is bad. Terrible, in fact and a reason for many players to argue and it encourages solo play in an MMO. It all depends on the people/guild involved, but I've seen so many issues. Especially the "stolen" missions/silver when they've finally found a mission they've been checking for for hours because of the incredibly dumb RNG system. Or all missions being done before someone even had the chance to get off of work.

That system is probably in place so that not every guild will grind in every same spot at the same time, which is fair but the execution of it just doesn't work and never has. People aren't going to take missions for grindspots they don't like just because RNG tells them to, that's not how it works for most people. And we have Marni's Realm now. Many missions can optionally be completed from in there.

It having to be a badly executed RNG list has never had a single argument strong enough in favor of it in my eyes, the limit of 10 being a static number without carry-over throughout at least the week and despite guild growth still always being 10, hasn't either. There's no good reason you shouldn't be able to pick a cooking or alchemy mission or a grind mission for the spot you're going to when you get home from work or otherwise make time to play and it really screws many peope over. Maybe unintentionally, but it does.

I can't fathom what goes through the heads of PA shot-callers for things like this, but this system has been bad for 8 years with only minimal positive changes over all those years (yes, it used to be even worse) so while I hope the rework I've heard a bit about will fix all of these issues, I highly doubt it. I hope, sincerely hope, that they prove me wrong, though. All I know about it is that they will apparently give us individual missions. That should resolve the "theft" conflicts, at least. But how will the rest of the system work? How will the overall execution be? We'll have to wait and see. I hope it'll be good. I really do.

For a small guild, just getting 3 people online at the same time is hard.. getting 10 quests done is hard. I would love the option to do solo guild progression quests, even if it doesn't contribute as much.

In comparison, only have 10 quests for a large guild seems is abysmally small. You'd burn through the quests and be sitting around with nothing to do with that many people.

Also agreed on the RNG cycle of quests. You could be sitting there all day and none of the quests are worth taking or doable for the people online.

Please give some love to the guild quests PA!
