Greetings Adventurers,

 

Currently, signing up for membership of a Pearl Abyss account on our website not only gives you access to the Black Desert Online service for NA/EU, but it also grants you a “unified Pearl Abyss account,” which includes all the services that Pearl Abyss provides.

 

However, if you select a region other than the NA/EU service region when signing up for the “unified Pearl Abyss account,” you will be restricted from playing the game after the start of Pearl Abyss’ direct service on February 25th (Thu).

 

If you are someone who mistakenly selected a service region other than NA/EU, you can apply to have your region changed by contacting us through our Customer Support.

Once we’ve received your request, we will be able to process your region change in a timely manner.

Q. I’m a United States citizen, but I’m currently residing in South Korea, so I selected South Korea as my region when signing up. Do I need to apply for a region change?

A. Yes, you are only allowed to play the game in the service region if it matches the region info you provided when signing up. Selecting “Korea” as your region will restrict your access to the game, while selecting “United States” as your region will grant you access to the game.

 

Q. I’m a Korean citizen, but I’m currently residing in the United States, so I selected South Korea as my region. Do I need to apply for a region change?

A. Yes, as mentioned above, you are only allowed to play the game in the service region if it matches the region info you entered when signing up. Selecting “Korea” as your region will restrict your access to the game, while selecting “NA” as your region will grant you access to the game.

 

Q. I’m a US citizen who resides in the United States, but I selected France as my region. Do I need to apply for a region change?

A. Since France is a part of the NA/EU service region, you will be granted access to the game. Nevertheless, we still strongly recommend that you apply for a region change to your actual region.

 

Q. I selected the United States as my region when signing up, but I would like to play the game in the European server. Do I need to apply for a region change to one of the European nations to play the game in the European server?

A. No, you do not. Since you selected a region that is part of the NA/EU service region, you will have access to both the NA/EU servers. But as stated above, we still recommend you apply for a region change to your actual region.

 

Q. Can we change the server from NA to EU or EU to NA?

Please note that this is not a method to change the server of your account, but a way to change the region that is registered for your personal information when you signed up for a Pearl Abyss account.

 

We ask for your continued support and cooperation regarding your selected region in order to ensure you will not experience any difficulties to your gameplay after the start of Pearl Abyss’ direct service on February 25th.
