Its a never ending struggle with every class.
Should I go sucession or awakening?
What is better for PvP and what for PvE.
Every class has different skills and different answers to what is better for what.
Can you at least make a tooltip or come up with a game design idea so people dont have to constantly second guess and ask what mode is better for PvE?
Like you know better than everyone what class can do what and then just give a hint like:
"Hey you want to do mostly PvE....well then stay with......xyz on this class".
Some people dont want to min/max and read in 200 pages of tutorials and guiges.
Thank you.
Why not just play which you enjoy the most?
do you ask your parents what sock to pull on 1st too?

Thats such a unintelligent reply. How can a new player know what is fun to him when he hasnt wasted dozens of hours trying out hundreds of different skills on different classes. You didnt even understand the point of this post.

Cool. trolling 101. Maybe try for the next time keeping your useless thoughts to yourself.
The problem is, there is no clear answer, some people like one thing, some like another for PvP and PvE.
Playstyle plays a big part in the effectiveness of a class in PvE and PvP.
Most of the time PA doesn't know if a class is going to be good or bad in PvP or PvE until it is released, a small change to a class can move it up or down a tier drastically.
It's too much and too opinion-based. Honestly, the best you'll probably get is to make a big reddit post with a chart of all the classes/specs and ask people to comment a 2-line description of each class and then just shove the most voted reply for each class/spec into the big chart and then there's your guide.

I think its possible, especially for someone like PA.
Most difference is sometimes if you are doing either more AoE damage or higher single target damage. Therefore you could tell pretty good that the AoE is better for farming.
Yes there are exceptions, as alwasy, bust I think that majority of calsses can pretty say which side is better for PvE or PvP.
They sure could just make it a "recommendation", nobody is suing PA if they recommend one thing and then its not the best for PvE.
It should be there to help newer players to decide for one thing more easily. Not everyone got hundreds of hours time to test every skill just so he can then go grinding.

Maybe in some classes, for sure. But thats exactly the point. Also if they make a small tooltip and recommendation, as they do with everything in the game, its all just an opinion. Nobody tells you what class is best for grinding, yet everyone wants to know and you will find a lot of people saying its xyz.
It should be just there as a tutorial help when going in the skill menu. Pick Nr.1 for more xyz damage which helps against mobs or Pick Nr.2 for more xyz better against Players. And if both sides are equaly enough good for both things, who cares if they still pick one side for PvE and the other for PvP. if they are trully equal, nobody can complain he picked the wrong side.
