PEN enhancement animation

Has anyone noticed that when you attempt to enhance an item to PEN, its enhancement animation is sometimes shorter/longer than other enhancements?
The odd thing is that it never happens with other enhancements (TET and below).
It's not a big deal, but I was just wondering why the server seems to respond sometimes faster, sometimes slower on PEN enhancements.

It's performing a check with easy anticheat and your spending history to determine if the enhancement will be successful.
I'm kidding...maybe.
