Blurred names cus the only Slog that should get shamed here is BDO's Arena of Solare Matchmaking system. Newbies gotta learn, I know, but don't dump them on unassuming players to constantly push them towards a 50-50 win rate. It all started as I was a game next to gold [as it always is with systems like these].

Yea they should start banning players who not even managed to do 10k damage in 3rounds.

But what you really expect? that's why you give rewards for a PvP mode, leachers come for leeching?

The only tinfoil is that "lucky" players bit***ng really hard when you suggest to add  party queue, like they know its not the skill they have (they don't) its the luck they got carried by. And there is OP, maybe he is skilled players, but we'll never know about it, because obviously he F*ed by luck.

Will be funny, if PA  follow some company named on V and add "premium" matching system.

Funny, you are ACE but also 0/3. So? That is, you didn't kill anyone and additionally you let your companions die in a few seconds.

This is what I wrote about recently: most people play solo and in their own way and don't pay attention to the rest of the team. 

If you leave range class without defense, she will be killed immediately because the whole team of opponents will throw at her.

Ace/mvp is only about doing damage tho. I always get that but that doesn't mean anything.

This is what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter who inflicted the damage, it only matters if your team won.

I lost a lot of matches just because, despite my dedication, my team didn't finish the player with just one more hit.

I also had matches where one opponent generated 95% of all team damage. And there was nothing we could do.

And the author of the topic blames others and does not take into account that maybe he is also guilty himself.

Sometimes you just can't win. Period.

The map with the floating orbs have a tendency to deny damage. If you use a medium range aoe attack on an opponent and a wall is behind them sometimes the game will think there is a wall between you and your opponent and you wont damage them.

Have to agree with you OP, players should be able to play some preliminary matches to get placed at an appropriate starting point. That way new players can play with people of similar experience without having to go through 10+ losing streaks first, and more skilled players can rank up without getting mad at players who are new to PvP for their performance. This should increase the enjoyment for both types of players.

In games with placement games you literately get matched by the same people that you would normally get matched. The only difference is that the ranks are hidden, and you lose/win significantly(read up to 10-20times) more mmr points.

That do not change the fact that you get matched by players not in your skill level so it's fustrating. What it changes that in skill based games it boost you to where you bellong (well if you look from a majority perspective).

On the otherhand win in AOS is 95% RNG based, hence this would only end up boosting the RNG carried ppl into high rate for free, while the unlucky ones would rage there that they got a free ticket into the elohell.

1. Adding placement matches would need to in turn not punish the already placed players as much if the team loses, of course. That way it is less frustrating and people will be less toxic. Losing a game as an established player when a placement player is in team should barely or not at all decrease the points. That way we can avoid or at least reduce the amount of toxic chat, which is a large part of frustration for both new and old players.

2. It will still sort the players way way faster into the zone where they belong, instead of sticking people into elo-hell for days on end, as the likelyhood of getting out of it is higher with boosted rates. Currently, below ~1400 points its still elo hell, which can take ages to climb out of.

3. If you think winning in AoS is 95% RNG based, you need to get better at the game

4. Winning streaks hardly help if even after 5-6 wins, you gain only 1-5 points more than in a normal win. If streaks are supposed to help the sorting, then they need to be buffed by a lot. However, streaks have the issue, that while winning in AoS definitely isnt 95% RNG, it is still partly influenced by matchups and players in your team being cooperative and experienced, which can lead to losses. Differently to other games, unless youre playing specific classes, you cannot solo-carry a game in most cases, which means that streaks can be cut short. Cutting a streak means punishing a player for multiple games afterwards too. While placement matches give you a number of times where you can boost your score, independently of previous matches.
