its ALREADY on global labs. just polish it up and bring it to live server.
a player shouldnt have to go to labs to see how much damage something does, especially since creating accounts for global labs is locked for NA and EU players . adding this feature will make the testing of skills much easier and will allow damage/healing/hitbox related bug reports to be easier to identify.
Common arguments/objections Ive heard:
1: Pearl Abyss/players dont want screen clutter

My answer:
people already do that and if some one really cares they will go to global labs just as i did to record the clip so just put it on live server

Arena Of Solare already shows damage dealt/healed
Kill death ratios is what actually encourages toxic behavior
Showing damage numbers allows players to see where they are potentially making mistakes. it encourages self improvement
Yeah I think the devs said it themselves that it'll cause 'class imbalance' but as you said. There is all ready that so seeing damage numbers won't harm much in my opinion. It'll also be nice to tell whether or not my crit crystals or ap crystals do more damage than just presuming. Or HAVE to take someone elses time to test damage. Not like we have many options to do that. The dummy targets in BA don't test your damage or actual cc time.

Showing damage/CC times and other combat information not only will expose spagetting network code (like getting more hits depends on FPS) , but most likely gonna cause them lawsuit for FOTM milking.
A proper DPS-meter would help solving some balance issues and normalize classes' DPS at given APs. Not gonna happen, too much work for them.

Testing builds ect is important to me as well, like seeing how builds do at spots ect ect and comparing with the homies that grind on meta classes.
will also make crystal changes more straight forward. and the impact on pvp theory crafters would also be possitive

I personally don't like damage numbers but I upvoted because a POSSIBILITY to turn it on should be always present, even if it would be used only for build testing and not for normal gameplay as in my case.

Agreed the option for players to have it on should always be present .
If players don't want to see it they will turn it off :)
I too joined global lab only to be able view damage numbers for testing & verifying for min/max reasons.
