Update: The announcement was changed:

> Tiers 1 to 5 horses will not be deleted during the Mar 20, 2024 (Wed) maintenance as previously announced and are scheduled to undergo a different process.

 > For details of the new process, please refer to the Mar 20, 2024 (Wed) Patch Notes.

We'll see what the new process is, but at least now there's a stay of execution : )

Saw. Good work guys. Win. Hopefully some of the clattering about other issues can work, too!

It feels good when stuff like this happens. haha, you dunno how rare it is in games. Well, they may be throwing a bone, but still gratz guys.

Damnit, seriously?  I had already started to strip and sell off my mounts at Tier 5 and below because of the original announcement I saw on the launcher.

FFS, this really pisses me off.  The annoucement I wasn't happy about, and now this after Imperial Trading/selling/breeding all those horses I had/loved aren't now being deleted?

Get your act together, BDO.  Seriously.  This wasn't thought through at all.

This was deleted by the writer.

That's exactly what I was afraid of myself.  So I did the training, but not the breeding, then crossed my fingers for a reprieve.  If one hadn't been forthcoming I would have been doing some last minute imperial trade-ins before maintenance.

But yeah, their timing has been terrible with all of this.

I updated one of the threads in the feedback section with information about what the revised changes are.  Existing mounts under t6 stay, will be converted to t6 with skills etc. intact - but with t6 appearance.  You can still use an appearance change coupon to get t1-t5 appearance if you want.  So - pay for what they took away.

I'm getting close to maxing out Guru level training... So yeah, I have a lot of high tier horses. But it makes me sad that I can't visit with my first wild-caught T5 from all those years ago -- from before training and getting dream horses became stupid easy. His name was Neo and he was a basic all-black T5, and he enjoyed his retirement hanging out around the stable. I don't get why he had to be gone. :( It was MY stable space he occupied, not anyone else's.
