4. Afk harpooning as an alternative if nothing changes

As we all know (har)poo(ning) is currently kind of forgotten and horrible lifeskill due to:
1. You can only do it from poo ships
2. Due to poo ships being really low in height your character is often unable to get a bite due to shifting into spectral realm and diving into the deck of the ship
3. It takes forever to finish the minigame
5. Fish droprates are poo
6. Doorknob-at-the-ceiling-level-useless mastery brackets
7. No manos harpoon!

Currently harpooning is a fully-active-50m/h-lifeskill due to numbers being left in 2018 era and illogical % of fishtables.

Take a look at this example of harpooning fish table [it's one of the best ones]:
39,6% cuttlefish (25cm size fish)
15% Yellow Swordfish (Big boi fish)
15% Marlin (Big boi fish)
14% Humback whale (Big boi fish)
14% Bigeye tuna (Big boi fish)
1% Giant squid (Big boi)
0,9% Giant black squid (Big boi)

Am I the only one who sees aiming 40% of the time at 25cm sized fish with my freakin HARPOON GUN as stupid? I'm harpooning! I'm here to go back home with all those dolphins, whales and other big bois. Not. Freakin. 25 cm. Cuttlefish. My character also has enough braincells to aim at big bois and 40% smol fish droprate feels insulting to its intelligence.
Additionally I'm harpooning to earn stonks while being a menace to the nature. Not making 1/20 of what tuvala timmy does during an hour of bonking centaurs.

Solution to make harpooning not a total waste of time:
Shorten minigame to 5 hits
Add 2 more mastery brackets

1600 bracket
20% Green
40% Blue
38% Rare
2% Prize

2000 bracket
10% Green
45% Blue
43% Rare
2% Prize

With this changes harpooning can become amazingly OP fully-active-lifeskill netting you around 400m/h so no tuvala timmy will be sad that some filthy lifeskiller can earn more silver per hour than he does at centaurs.
So it still sucks, but less and it's no longer insulting our characters.

Now the gear - manos harpoon is already in the game files, just buff it for rare fish % chance and release it already!

And afk harpooning - if you're so keen on making it poo let us at least suffer while afk!

Yes I legit only want to harpoon because there are titles I haven't gotten yet but it is so bad :(

Currently, I am Guru20 1800 mastery


First of all: the ships
The ships are slow and run on lifespan instead of rations :(
When I am harpooning, the whole camera still moves with my mouse. It is bad!
The titles I am currently pursuing are the ones from Zulatia Sea 

For my 1200+ mastery I get rewarded with the following rates
60% bad green fish
13% Flower icefish
12% Weird icecrab

if I am so lucky I place myself in a top 15% spot
I have a chance at 4 fishes I need for titles
4.5% for Tiger Shark, thats okay
8.5% for Basking Shark, nice!
0.7% Ribbonfish, bit low but issa rare
0.45% for yellow fish called Thresher Shark wth

How is this suppose to make sense?

I'd be content if PA at least takes the lazy approach and add an afk option. The current state of this content is very uninspired.

Actuallty the worse minigame ever, really needs a massive overhaul to come close to the other mini games we have.

Have to agree with all of above, it's long overdued for a rework, silver wise, why should I even bother with harpooning unless I want to go after titles, even after that, it's pure suffering that I am putting myself against, it's averaging at least 80 or 90 hours for a yellow fish harpoon title, why should I put myself through there when it's at best, 50mil an hour, 100% active?

Not to mention the amount of zooming in and out due to camera issue and the ocean waves and all.

I wouldn't even mind if they change the minigame to how they bought back the ice fishing recently, which is actually a surprise that they can actually make an okay-ish minigame but no clue as to why it was left behind and never explored again, heck, bring ice fishing to regions such as Eternal Winter too please.

To add onto this rant, althought unrelated, why are there no fishing titles for Duvencrune region and Mountain of Eternal Winter region, and why does fishing titles in Land of Morning Light only stopping at <Fish Name> Prince instead of <Fish Name> Guru?

50mil/h is being generous tbh. Maybe the best spots and proper distance bonus can reach that though :')

11h at Peyon sea brought about ~60 yellow catches and those sold for close to 90mil at Glish. Not even bothering to use Magnus for higher distance bonus its just so irrelevant.

Harpoon fishing sucks so much.

Unless you are going for knowledge/titles, there is absolutely no reason to do it. At least every other lifeskill has some point to it, some boon to it existing. Sure AFK fishing with a rod isnt going to net you a fortune, but its an AFK way to earn towards titles, with some cash on the side.

Between the glitch that can cause you to never hook a fish, to the waves swallowing you, to the time consuming minigame, to the incredibly small amount of silver gained, not to mention the non-repairable harpoons... This needs a major overhaul...

It doesnt need to be majorly profitable, its a non-compete lifeskill but it should still be eased of some of the current pain.

I have no intention of touching the harpoon even for knowledge/titles until harpoon fishing will be available from every ship and as an afk.

Rare (yellow) fish ratio is simply too low to actively catch about 450 pieces of each rare fish, and let's not forget about this annoying error when we start activate harpoon fishing but nothing happens, and in addition, the waves can throw us out of the boat.

I won't even touch on the topic of earning money from fishing because everyone knows that the entire life skill is far behind in terms of profits from what we can earn from trash from mobs (so why are manos more expensive than vs mobs items?).

and nobody mentioned the annoying bug of the camera going haywire during harpoon minigame if you open the Knowledge screen
