Family Name: Daemonum

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestions/Comments:
Please add a pity system for the "Rich Merchant's Ring Piece" from Olun's Valley. This piece has the lowest drop rate of all five pieces, by far.
If you take the average of getting this items, like the amount of hours or kills of the specific mobs dropping them, it could already take a very long time. With the immensely low drop chance, the unluckiest of the unlucky players will take thousands of hours to achieve them, if ever. It is one of the most demotivating features in this game if you belong to these unlucky players, causing hard demotivation and potential quitting of the game.

To give you an example:
My girlfriend is still trying to achieve the "Rich Merchant's Ring Piece" from Olun's Valley.
Her first hours of grinding Olun's Valley were roughly 29 months (two and a half years) ago.
In this time, she grinded Olun's Valley for roughly 500 hours and the newer Dehkia Olun's Valley for roughly 200 hours. She managed to drop 54x Quturan's Right Lung (direct drop or crafted via Simple Alchemy), roughly 1500x Olucas, 13x Flame of Corruption, 18x Fragmented Elviayed from Olun's Valley/Dehkia Olun's Valley. Without getting the much desired "Rich Merchant's Ring Piece". She is no step closer to actually getting it than 700 hours before.

Suggestion:
Please add a pity system for these hyper-rare drops of the game. There are already some items in the game that could achieve such a system, e.g. the "Olucas".
Olucas are only dropping at Olun's Valley at a specific drop rate. There is no other way of getting these items. You could implement an exchange of xx amount of "Olucas" for the Olun's Valley "Rich Merchant's Ring Piece", e.g. 1000 Olucas.
Getting 1000 Olucas will still take around 400 hours of grinding (average drop rate 2.4 taken from garmoth.com Global grind statistics).
Please have a look at more accurate statistics if needed, as these are "just" player reported loot numbers.

If you do not want to bind it to an item, any other kind of pity system would be great as well. But it would be good if you implement it in a retrospective way, similar to the enhancement pity system added to the Global Lab one week ago.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

The Merchant Ring isn't a necessary item. It's a treasure, if they add pity system it will not be a treasure anymore, like with infinity potions.  This is a separate part of the content of the BDO, and not something that everyone should have

True and I agree.

Not many people go for it and only the most passionate players will follow through to get all pieces.

Still, some people are willing to invest the time, but they will get screwed by the immense variance of time investment due to the very low drop chance.

I am not saying add a pity system to make it easy. It shall not devalue the treasure items. Add it to not waste all the time invested for the 0.1% or even 1% unlucky players.

1000 Olucas might be too low, you could even set it to 1500 or 2000. But by then, the average player should have gotten it at least 1 time, maybe 2-3. The unluckiest players will not get it with even 3000 Olucas.

Just to add it:

I do not need the Olun's piece myself anymore. I got it 4 times in the 700 hours of Olun's and Dehkia Olun's combined.

Sounds like a good idea in order to catch the really unlucky player-base

While it will remain a treasure item that way it will help people like this guy who had over 2700 olucas (a lot of them in the old days when this item wasn't even dropped as much as today) and still didn't get the piece

Grinding for 1000+ for an item without getting any closer will demotivate at some point

Those are the people this should be aimed for.. just imagine having almost 3000 olucas and no ring piece yet...

While having an entire inventory full of useless flames and elviayeds x.x

Dont cry, there are ppl that dropped many more olucas then 1500 before they got the piece.

its a treasure item that grant a huge benefit, it should be rare af, otherwise its kinda useless if anyone is guaranteed to get it after a certain amounth of time.

You missed the point what OP is saying. He doesn't want to make it simpler he want to make it achievable. Right now you could grind for 1 million hours, You could grind for 100 years, Nonstop 24/7, And still there is the possibility of you never getting the piece, he wants a system, which avoids that.

Don't you think someone that grinded oluns for 2000 hours deserves the piece?

I would like to have pityitems for every treasure item

But there are to many ppl who suffered and now would rather gatekeep these because new players have to suffer as well :')
