This tool is called a Sextant. Its a tool used by maritime gents.
Sounds great
Just increasing boat speeds even more is a bad idea because the Game's physics engine and Netcode is already struggling just to keep up with my 150% boosted Galeas. And those 190% Volantes just plain BREAK THE GAME as it is. A Sextant would absolutely need its buffs focused towards a more "productive" set of Stats like XP, SMH drop rate, Special Barter Chance, Reducing Splash damage calculations (indirect hits) from enemy player Cannons, and Conservation % of Rations.

Lmao, I remember this thread. Certainly deserves another look.

The Listed things isn't the job of the Tool but Mastery itself so yeh imo this is a differnt Topic of just having a Tool for some Mastery gain.

Suggestions/Comments:
When it comes to earning higher Mastery Points in Sailing, it can be quite challenging to achieve significant progress solely by relying on Sailor's Clothes and Accessories as your primary source of Mastery Points. While you do receive some bonus gains from Crystals, Lightstones, and Artifacts, there's a notable gap in the potential progression. To address this issue, I propose the inclusion of a Life Skill Tool, similar to the Riding Crop from the Training Life Skill, which would enhance the Sailing Mastery Points.
Regarding the suggested Tool, it draws inspiration from the renowned Manos Riding Crop with the following Stats:
Name: Manos Sextant
Sailing Mastery: +400(PEN)
Max Boat Speed: +20%
Max Boat Auto-Sail Speed: +30%
Breezy Sail Speed: +30% (including Ebenruth's Nol)
Do you even sail?
i'm not sure you do, because those are some crazy stats that you want this manos tool to have lol
Compare a sailing tool to what exists in the game.
Mastery, ok
20% speed? do you realize what 20% speed is?
Auto sail? wtf, ok i see you're a barterer.
Breezy faster? you want to go from island to island with one breezy :D
Sailors have been asking for a manos tool with sailing related effects (like Illrep3 says, it's exactly what we need), not some sort of magic tool.

"I must admit, I'm uncertain about the extent to which pushing for even greater speed could potentially lead to complications. What I'm aiming for is to acquire the Mastery Tool for Sailing. Utilizing Life Skill Tools seems like a more accessible and cost-effective means of attaining Mastery in a specific Life Skill. My intention is to streamline the process towards achieving 2,000 proficiency. As mentioned in the comments, it's possible that someone might offer fresh insights or better ideas/Feedback through a group discussion. As of now, I'm not deeply involved with Sailing Group dynamics."
