fishing can also be done active at hotspots
cooking is not afk its actually considered semi afk at best due to weight issues and the speed of cooking cuz of mass cooking procs chewing through supplies red sauce is pretty much the only thing u can afk on overnight cuz all its ingrediants weight so little
alchemy same weight issue but u can def afk on it alot longer than cooking so ill give u that one plus unless u minmax it to an extreme it can be hard to make profit off it
processing u run into weight issues as well since we got mass processing stones
training is in 2 parts training ur horse is def afk or while u play another game but taming horses is active not afk
farming is not afk its an active that u do for like 10 or 15 mins if that and then ignore till u need to do it again
sailing is an activity usualy comboed with SMHing or sailies or with bartering
bartering is def boring i wont argue there but its more semi afk than cooking is just look at the oceans at people bartering and probably 90% of them are afk auto pathing to each and every island
hunting is def a good money maker if u put the time into upping ur mastery and it can easily rival the $$ of gathering if u know what ur doing... specially when it comes to wolf meat from featherwolfs.. plus hunting is better energy use than gathering due to u can do it for waaay longer
gathering is def boring as well wont argue there i usualy do roughly 6k meat a day and call it good since thats the bare minimum i need to reach the 200k wolf meat for a month of guru boxs
so yee it mostly sounds like alot of the lifeskills u just dont like... and thats fine not everyone likes the same stuff afterall
and i def agree alot of lifeskills need boosts to make them worthwile money wise but its a game in the end if u like hunting go do hunting its simple as that
Yeah some people have no imagination about how to do the content in this game. It's just all what is the best money.
Sure you can go and grind Orcs for 8 hours a day for billions, but THAT IS BORING.
So just play the game for the real activities in the game and enjoy.....or move onto something that you find fun.

The real reason is that you have progressed enough in this game that you are bored of the game. It happens to every game. Stop falling for the sunk cost fallicy and just leave the game and play something else until they release something new for this game that makes it not boring again.

If the activities you do in BDO are not fun, go find something else.
Me, I have been playing the game non stop since release and still have tons of things in game to do. Eg, I have never done a node war, never PVP, never did an RBF, heaps of other things, I don't find fun, I still could do. But I have heaps of other things that I enjoy that keep me busy in game.

Depends on the mood doesn't it? Combat with guild members is always fun.
Combat time
One hit flattened from behind, both of us, we got up turned to see and yelled "ITS A BOSS! RUN! RUN AWAY..." (night sneaked up and the turo boss appeared and my battle buddy and i are just barely geared enough to take on turos)
"I can handle 5 or 6, but 12 is way too many" (after pulling mobs, my battle buddy overestimated what I could handle)
"i don't know what it does, hit it?!" (and the black star tower rezzed a bunch of mobs)
"What the..!! ...what ARE you wearing? Stop luring in those women!" (experiences one night where the dark side doorways just kept appearing and spilling out huge groups of ahrib female warriors)

Why are we arguing this when we have the best answer from all things. Ppl do quit the game and they are always come back to BDO. I have seen many cases like they cursed the game and they swear to the God wont come back to play BDO, at the end I see them are playing BDO.

Gathering: my personal feelings are that i would rather shave my beard with wax than to do gathering,
It's actually not shaving when you wax your beard :) - It's waxing.
Now the serious stuff, I also think hunting need improving, Horse training also, fishing give a lot of silver compared to training.
Gathering is ok, you can make good money from there.
Imperial cooking delivery need fix - that limitation for the channel need to be removed, no need for another limit when we already have a limit of your character (contribution/2), it's so annoying to switch channels and search where can you turn in your packets.
Imperial Alchemy is a joke.
PVP is not a joke, but node wars are... :) Naval PVP is joke too... and the bugs with ships are so many and never got fixed.
