From time to time when i dont feel like grinding

or failing my stupid pen leeburs i realy enjoy using the games music feature to create/recreate some songs.

Sadly i takes a long time to do that (for me about 1-2h per minute of a song) depending on dificulty.

Thats without finetuning tho.

Since most songs are repetitive in some way

it would be great to copy the notes of the part thats already done and paste them once the part repeats itself.

That function is already in the game sadly its completely broken tho.

When pasting in the notes dont stay where they should but appear in random positions.

Thats annoying because it destroys a lot of work

and without using copy paste u have to set up the notes of repeating parts a few times per song so the creation process takes ages.

Is it possible to fix that so that players can make their fav. Songs in less time and keep entertaining the part of the community who realy enjoys this feature :)

Nah.

Its better that way, its more work so more engaging.

if everyone ends up doing copy pasta. its no longer of interest.
I spent tens of hours on a certain piece. if people can do it all in 3 clicks. It is insulting. less entertaining and the community will be non-existent.


Concern the bugs. fixes are coming with the composer 2.0.

This is really the least annoying thing on the Composer and also a great way to train your brain by actually remembering things you know and eye to hand coordination. It also gives some sort of finally done approve and what Catastigma said i 100% agree, it would shatter the experience.

There's nothing engaging about e.g manually inputting the same drum pattern for 70 measures straight.

To argue against basic functionality that any other DAW/Midi software on the market has because it goes against their personal interests is very questionable.

I don't know if you misunderstood the suggestion for the ability to straight out import MIDI files, which nobody is asking for.
They're simply asking for basic funtionality that improves the user experience in the composer tool.
(A working way to CTRL+C → CTRL+V a measure.)

I think nobody thougth this would be the suggestion to straigth copy-paste into the Composer, but when it takes some time to create a song it also has more value then just copy and paste the patterns all around and wouldn't it be unfair to the people who dedicated a lot of time allready bringing there compositions into life ?

Thats what i think Catastigma had tried to say with his/her post when iam right understanding it.

Also the Shai is an around PvE content based Character, sure there is also some PvP usage but the abtility to play music has only PvE purpose, it is like giveing everyone free Pen Bossgear for not much effort at all to then just copy and paste 60percentage maybe more depending on the Soundtrack you try to create and be done.

Sure on the other hand its a standart feauture in many composing utilities but this aint about composing only thing. This is after all a MMO Game. It is kinda mindblowing we have something like this as an option.

You clearly have not clue what the fuck you are talking about.

You are insinuating that the value of a music album creation comes from the time spent making it. Or more so the time spent monotonously inputting the same pattern for certain parts of the creation dozens of times because there is no working copy section feature.

Personally I think the value of anything made comes from what the end product sounds like, there's so much you can do with dynamics that will differentiate the good from the bad. Especially on the new instruments and equalizer settings we're getting soon™.

And if you want to talk about your creations and time investment being ''devalued'' you should take a good look at the florchestra instruments that will make the vast majority of beginner instrument compositions completely irrelevant.

I might also add that I've personally spent hundreds if not a bit over a thousand hours split between regular servers and global labs using the music album & composer tool. And I couldn't care less if they made the tool more user friendly.

You don't see anyone crying about the removal of note shifting and the official addition of 32nds and 64ths. I want all my time back spent note shifting, lmao.

this pattern repeats 4 times all i want to be able to do is to properly copy it 4x so that i dont need to put every single not in again 4 times

It a quality of life imrpovement for people who create their own stuff because it takes less time to finish a a project.

dunno how anyone could have another opinion on that :P they be like " no we like it more dificult " 

must be the same people who say "i'm not using failstacks its more dificult to get a pen bs with 0fs"

also its not about adding this into the game since it is already in the game.. it just doesnt work like intended thats why i want to point that out 

maybe this was more understandable now.

1. Had you even try to catch what i was talking about ? By the way you ranting in my direction i would say no.

2. No i said it is adding more value and you hardly can deny that time is also a value factor even more when the endresult is good.

If you believe me or not (doesnt matter really anyway) i can see both sides, who want a proper copy/paste tool and who are denying it, because i have this cool feature myself called empathize.
