Hi everyone, 

I just wanted to make a thread to express how much I dislike Escape-Escape in PvP situations.  

First, I'll say that I don't love "V" emergency escape either, but it is acceptable to me as a gameplay feature that has it's good sides and bad sides.  I'm not here to talk about the black-spirit emergency escape ability through the V key. I am here to talk about the "Escape-Escape" via the menu! Escape-Escape in combat is the worst!   

• Escape-Escape in combat situations is absolute evil. I understand the need to get out of a bad spot in the game if you are stuck in the game's geometry and cannot move, by mistake. I do not think it should be useable during active PvP. It should have a multi-second casting time like a World of Warcraft Hearthstone or teleport spell, and that cast should be unprotected and interruptable. You should NOT be able to instantly vanish from an enemy CC combo with Esc-Esc. The first time I saw players do this Escape-Escape trick I was surprised, I did not think such a thing was possible. Then I found that it is easy to accomplish by assigning or "Pinning" favorite Escape menu options, so that you can quickly hit ESC + 1 + Enter to use the escape-escape feature ASAP when in danger. This is simply not cool.  This usage of the escape-escape feature feels bad. It feels like an exploit, it cheapens play, and it's just bothersome to even imagine that it exists at all. I get so excited when I catch my opponent, only to have them vanish in a poof - they are gone, and my joy deflates into frustration. You can see why this is upsetting, and I wish that this feature would be re-worked to not be like this.   

Using Esc-Esc in combat is just plain villainous and annoying and I sorely wish it was not possible to do. Please, Pearl Abyss! Reconsider how this feature is implemented. 

Esc Esc has a cooldown of several minutes. Everyone can use it. It is a V with a longer cooldown, that's it.

It is NOT a "V" to be used in combat, it is a GM's tool that has been given to the players for RESPONSIBLE use. Like in case of emergancies such as stuck in geomotry, glitch etc.

Its like using the item recover feature to turn a profit somehow.

Its abusing an exploit and it should not be so easy to do it. A cool down of 24 hours is really how it should operate, and it should take a snap shot of your current position to make sure its not abused. Submiting a ticket should be the only way to reset it if needed before the cooldown period.

Remove Esc > Esc during PvP.  I like OP's suggestion of a cast-time that is unprotected and interruptable.

I disagree because it is one of the few tools a person that has no interest in pvp has to avoid pk. If you want it remived in CONSENSUAL pvp that is fine but not for forced open world ganking thanks.

Even partnered streamers openly abuse it, so PA probably fine with that.

Good solution could be to add a timer, pressing escape escape teleports you out after 5 seconds. This would still allow players to unstuck themselves and disables it in PvP.
