Pay for convenience.
Fact is you can get all the items the tent provides via other sources. You don't have to use the tent to get the buffs, it's just a heck of a lot easier to do it with the pearl tent.
Ah, I think we have reached the "Pay-to-Win" point, everyone will give their own definition of p2w, fight for it and forget the problem behind.

Wouldn't happen if people faced field reality and discussed actual mechanics and options instead of getting into full trigger mode for every optional item in the shop.
Case in point, the pretend damage advantage provided by tent buff is less than a whole % in nowadays standards yet some clowns talk about it as if it allowed to oneshot opponents.

Masters Special Stuffed Shadow Lion Head: AP +15
Master's Special Stuffed Grass Rhino head : Damage reduction +15
Master's Special Stuffed Verdure Buck: All Evasion +20
Master's Special Stuffed Verdure Doe: All Accuracy +20
Master's Special Shadow Wolf head : HP +100
Naturally you wear one of these:
Boss/mobs/drops or lifeskilling- Alchemy
Alchemy stone of Destruction
Alchemy stone of Protection
Spirit Stone
Garmoth heart/Vell heart/Khan's Heart
Lets not count in other furniture buffs, meals/potion, crystals or various buffs from npc's in towns....
All those in game buffs and someone takes the time to ride to a villa in game as well..on something higher then a tier 1 horse, or has more breath/stamina then 20 to run...

I suggest to just consider the cost of the tent as part of the game price as its pretty much a must, but yeah, tent does scratch the surface of the p2w line a bit.
