First off we need to understand what Blackstar armor is. By all accounts it shouldn't even exist Fallen God is Blackstar armor it's the same design it's derivative of the Black Star it is the final product End Game gear. Because of how Blackstar armor was released at the same time as Fallen God was announced people immediately said, "what is the point?" This of course triggered a delay in releasing the rest of the Blackstar armor and lead to the slowing down of Fallen God pieces.

But, lets not focus on the poor roll out of Blackstar Gear and instead focus on the Lore Goals they are trying to achieve:

1. The Black Star is in The Republic of Calpheon.
2. The Remnants of the Rift were originally designed to be found in Open World Treasure Chest using keys in the Balenos & Serendia Regions. ("The Remnants of the Rift can now be obtained from the Golden Treasure Chest, which randomly appears in Black Desert. " ~ Patch Notes - June 5th 2019 (We can debate on if Golden Treasure Chest means the Golden Boxes or Chest you open with Gold Keys.)
3. Blackstar is crafted in Mediah.
4. Blackstar is Enhanced in O'draxxia
5. Blackstar is Upgraded to it's Final Form with Elements (I'm predicting) that are located in each Region.

Flame (Chest) ~ Kamasylvia
Light? (Helem) ~ Drieghan (The Eternal Winter Mountain is part of Drieghan)
Earth? (Shoes?) ~ Valencia?
Water? (Gloves?) ~ Kingdom of Haso? Great Ocean Expanse? Sycraia? Quillia's Eye?

If this is indeed the road map for Blackstar to Fallen God then they will have successfully tied the entire world of BDO & your journey into a nice bow.

I like it.

That being said Blackstar Gear needs some Stat Improvements & an Enhancing Re-work; to better suit its stature.

Blackstar gear doesn't allow caphras stones to enhance it which means Boss Gear is simply better. This of course was by design to not alienate the C20 players in Korea and growing number on NA/EU. And offer a "easier" enhance path to TRI Blackstar which was a TET Boss Gear Equivalent (at the time.) This of course was objectively not true as Blackstar requires 3x the resources to repair. And 2x the resources to attempt. Despite the better enhancement chances of TRI Blackstar vs TET Boss Gear.

To motivate PVE players to switch into Blackstar they added Obsidian. Even then, with Pen Tuvala being TET boss gear the STEEP cost made it hard to justify switching into TRI Blackstar. Let alone going for the actual useful TET & PEN tiers. PEN Blackstar requires an extremely high amount of luck & considerably more resources even more so than getting PEN boss gear. And when a C10 Boss Gear is the same DP it is almost pointless. Again by design to not alienate the c20 player base; nerfed Blackstar Gear was a peace offering, as it were.

Unfortunately, this doesn't fit the structure of progression in a game like Black Desert online.

Blackstar will now face even more resistance to pursue it as we are FINNALY going to have a quest option to upgrade our TET's to PEN Boss Gear. A most welcome change for those of us who have been displeased with the "dice" rolling mechanics of enhancing for years. Understandably this is to retain the newer player base and create a more healthy PVP environment. More players, means more customers, which means more content. Win Win Win.

But, the desire to get PEN Blackstar is completely thrown out the window as a c20 boss gear will always be better. Which leads us back to Fallen God.

Fallen God is the true Blackstar Armor and has an even more insane enhancing system to grow beyond C20 Boss Gear. So what arrangement can we come to make Blackstar the desired PVE End Game goal without sacrificing the re-balancing efforts being made for PVP?

Step 1. - Make Blackstar Enhancing Rates in line with Boss Gear as it is right now. (It already cost 3x as many memory fragments to repair.)
Step 2. - Bigger Gains of DP for Obsidian & Bigger Monster Damage Reductions so people can actually grind Ash Forest & Crypt.
Step 3. - Give Fallen God Blackstar's set Bonus and allow them to be mixed & matched as the Upgrades come out.
Step 4. - Allow Fallen God to become Abyssal Fallen God by fusing the power of our already crafted Obsidian & Some New End Game Drop to craft the Ultimate Blackdesert Armor.

If you were to make Abyssal Fallen God: I suggest it creates glowing red patches (tattooing the armor, as it were,) in the language of the Black Spirit. In addition it could create Black Aura around you; as you are now one with him; consumed with the Power of the Fallen God. And lastly add the appearance of the Black Spirits Cape. (You could even make a different cut scene for each upgrade.)

I believe tweaks can be made successfully that maintain the PVP Re-Balance while greatly boosting the desire & performance for your most faithful & dedicated PVE grinders.

Black Spirit's Mask ~ Crypt of Resting Thoughts

Black Spirit's Gaunlets ~ Sycria Abyssmal

Black Spirit's Shroud ~ Ash Forest
Black Spirit's Greaves ~ (A Zone That Doesn't Exisit At this Time ~ Sherekhan Mine)

Shut up and take my money. Yes to everything you have just said. 

The whole blackstar is a failed dead end idea by people who have no clue what to do with their game.

It literately have no justification to exits. It ain't better than boss, and not even significantly cheaper/easier to get.

They should've never added BS, and instead used it's effort to add full fallen good instead. At the end of day both boss and BS will be fallengood anyway...

The single way, in my opinion, that they can revive and make a good use of Blyatstar armor is to add 4 piece set bonus.

What i mean by that? When u equip all the 4 armor pieces u will get aditional stats that can be focused on PVE life:
- More dmg reduction from mobs
- More dmg increase against mobs
- More resistances

Want to go even higher? For 4 armor piece equipped give something like
- Unlock a special skill (Similar to Elvia skill) that deal great damage against mobs only.
- Gain an aura that Ingore 50% of monster's defence stats (armor/ress).

- Ignore heat stroke/hypothermia effects (and the cold effects from the new winter region)

And if we want to go very creative we can add to this:

If u have the Blyatstar main hand and awakening weapon equipped next to the 4 armor set piece you will get:

- 50% more PVE damage for all your class skills (from skill tree window - succ or awak) - This buff applies against world bosses as well.

- 5% rare item drop chance increase and/or 25% drop amount increase. - This stacks with any other drop buffs

- Your attacks will never miss in PVE.

To make it a bit fair PA can put the above mentioned "perks" for ONLY TRI and up enhancement levels.

And if u got full PEN Blyatstar Armors x 4 pieces equipped and full PEN main hand and awak. weapons equipped:

- You get access to a skill that will summon Blyat spirit to perform a powerfull attack - huge damage PVE only

- A special aura visual effect with some dark smoke flowing around you.

- Increase the buffs duration and effectiveness by 50% (Buffs from food/elixirs)

- Decrease the item's durability consumption by 50%

 Seems a bit much on the food buffs / elixers but a Black Spirit Attack & Full Set Blackstar Monster Damage Buff would be nice.

Bottomline is Blackstar should be worth the price tag it comes with. And even then the enhancing success rates need to be lowered to Yellow Boss Gear to make them a vaible holdover until Fallen God.

Black star armor is just here because KR players can't caphras boss armor

It's the only reason why this armor exist

there is never a stock of caphras in korea, it is impossible to buy them and improve your equipment.

To overcome this problem and instead of increasing the caphras loot rate, they had lost months of development to release the black star armor and as their goal was not to be end game armor or compete with boss armor but only temporary armor until the caphras concern was resolved. 

but the caphras problem has never been solved in korea and so they finally increased their loot rate and added it in several grind areas

As a new player, I find the armor enhancement system in this game awful and borderline illegal - as it is literal gambling which NA/EU policies do not really tolerate. It's the main reason I'd quit this game. Acquiring boss gear through season+ is a main motivation to keep playing, as I may (one day) actually be able to farm high-end locations. Blackstar sounds like too much effort and I hope they don't push the game in that direction, this sytem is insulting to the time and money of new and old players alike.

If you hate it with Tuvala trust me you don't want to go anywhere near Blackstar, as it is right now. You can burn through 2 billion woth of mats for one or two TET attempts.

Literately every eastern mmo is like this, so IDK what you expected honestly. This isn't something unique, most of those games build upon gambling with cONvEnIeNcE cash shop P2W.
