Most people play games to get a break from real life. Not be rushed to do something. Locking content such as Heralds Books behind timed quests is not only frustrating but opposite of what most want in a game. Being forced to do something over time is one thing...but being forced to accomplish x amount of tasks in y amount of time is a whole nother level of frustrating.
The game already has major barriers and frustration throughout. Timed quests just add to this burden, especially if they are new players.
If you want todo the book you do what they ask they been in game a long time and yes i have all the books done and di d what was needed. Now you want them to change thing because you do not like them suck it up and do them or forget them
imo timed quests are okay as long as it's skill based. Adding in rng in timed quests like catching grunt is only frustrating because there really is nothing you can do.
I have already finished the book as well and got relatively lucky on it, but its still shit content.

🙄
What is your complaint? herald quests arent that long of a time limit. If you cant have time for like 30 min wtf u doing in bdo?
There is a game called "race". And to beat that game you need to run as fast as possible. Usually people do it with kart , car and the weirdest people enjoy it althout you need to rush to the finish line xD.
I have more issue with daily chore than horce race or quest race , your timed quest is the least concern of my problem
The quests are fine as they are with the exception of RNG fishing which doesn't really make sense. You either catch x amount of a certain fish or you don't. All the timed events are just a few minutes long and if you can't focus on a game for a few minutes then you should focus on your other obligations instead. I think the longest timer was 20 minutes for the one going from valencia to heidel? 20 minutes isn't that bad lol Also the quests weren't hard. Maybe you have to repeat it once, twice at most. The valencia one I had planned ahead on where to go and favorited the NPCs I was going to path to so no time would be wasted searching and did it in one go with plenty of time to spare.
Now, what they need to stop are event timers where you have to log on twice a day to take part of said event like the mansion furniture quest. Another kind is the pointless event timers where you have to wait 10 minutes before participating and then there are griefers waiting there to hit you after you transform and get near the end. It's more than one problem but having to wait an absurd amount of time for event (holiday) dailies is silly. It should be a fun, relaxing thing meant to attract new players and boost morale for existing players.
What they shouldn't do is make quests less skilled based. Everything in this game should be more progression/skilled based instead of RNG and freebies.
When you try to do the book with rubin and try 10-20 times its no longer fun. I have arthritis in all my fingers and find all the racing around hard.

Exactly. Whether it be fishing for grunt, running from town to town, rolling a wheelbarrow, or rolling off a bridge, this "content" is frustrating, anti-fun stuff that ruins the game.
