I was considering buying the novice to legendary package since it's discounted to 2400 Acoin.

I don't mind having to buy more Acoin than just that due to the available amounts buyable set to mutliples of 1k, almost every cash shop does this in some form. But the problem here is that available pearl boxes in game are also set to these values. So buying 3k Acoin for a 2400 package will leave me with 600 leftover Acoin I can not use on anything nor can I top it up to an amount usable on pearls. They will just sit there on my account forever smiling at me not being usable until there might be a sale again where I gain a leftover of 400...

What boggels me even further is that I would have happily bought the package for flat out 30 bucks/3k Acoin already and not given a single fart about it...

I agree same for me of course the real price of kit novice to legendary is 3 000 Acoins , it is a good discount but yes having these 600 Acoins unsuable is sad , maybe some items buyed with 200 Acoins  ? little pack of pearls or items special events .... sell in dollars/euros or in Acoins

I agree on it also! Didn't know that you guys have this thread here already, so I actually created a ticket regarding it, the reply of the GM was that they can't do anything with it - can't turn these Acoins into pearls manually, and advice was to write the feedback, so here I am. 
Not like you, I don't like to spend my money for nothing, and I would definitely appreciate the opportunity to buy pearls directly 1/1 for the amount of Acoins I have. Below 1000, for example. Or any other way of using them, maybe, so I could use these 600 Acoins left?

Update: Apparently, guys, you can buy the smaller bundles aswell, so can spend these 600 leftover acoins for buying Novice -> Master bundle!

How would you be able to purchase the Novice -> Master bundle after purchasing the Novice -> Legendary bundle?  If you're already legendary, you're not Novice, and novice -> master would not seem purchasable.  Can you confirm that you were able to do this, or are you just speculating??

The reason I'm salty about this whole deal is because of how deceptive it is.  Pearl Abyss is advertising the bundle for 24.00/27.00, but if you can only buy currency in 10's, it's really 30.00.  This is very deceptive because it's not as if you can use the extra 600 acoin for anything, and lose its value.  The advertising at a lower price really sours me.

It's possible, because only the purchased bundle gets marked as purchased, your account status does not change from novice to legendary.

(bought the novice to legendary bundle in october, when it was at 50% and my account status still says "novice".)

You can't double up on packages, it will give you an error when you do try to buy it.

BDO's packages are designed that way because that's how games swindle you from your money. Not all games do it but the ones that use a currency based system try their best to make it so you can't use all your tokens. BDO has three tiers. A-Coin -> Pearl  -> Silver. Because of this, they can bypass a lot of legalities with different countries and it makes it convenient for them to market packages while making you spend more than what you can use.

For instance, if you buy a package that is a certain % off, it doesn't mean you really get that. You still get say 400A-Coins leftover that you can't use for anything. Since you can't buy the same package twice, you have to buy a tier higher, but look at that, you are left with another 600A-Coins or whatever after the purchase. No matter what, you're forced out of your money. But this usually happens when there are obscure amounts of bonus a-coins if I remember correctly.

Maybe it adds up properly if you buy all three packages? I'm not sure. But it's not uncommon for publishers to do this these days. It's especially common in freemium games because when they eventually shut their doors for good, they get to keep those unused coins and you'll never get a refund.

Well if you had read previous post you saw than i could buy the 2 kits without any problem : kit novice to legendary and kit novice to master for 3000 Acoins ( 2400+600 )
It is a great discount .... 3000 Acoins for 3000+1000 pearls and pets , value packs ....
