Hello,

I am a new player and I love the game "so far" and want to catch up with the base stuff of the game.
Now I am level 52 and I really want to aim into cosmetic stuff and now I have this Merv's Dye stuff which I have to pay every time when it's done.

I want a permanent (one time) Dye so I can Dybe my armor for lifetime and I can't find it anywhere. No stock in Marketplace and I don't know IF I can make one.
I am only interested in the "Black Dye". A black dye that is really black. I have some other dyes (I don't know how I got them) but they aren't really black.
My question is, how in the heavens can I obtain a Black dye or make one?

I would pay to dye my armors or outfits one time and never have to think about the colors again.

You can buy dye box, and hope that you get what you want, but it will be very expensive.

Best to just use a value pack and do it that way. If you ever want to remove dyes or use merv after dying, you have to buy bleach. Value packs have no limit on how often you can dye your stuff among other benefits. It's considered this game's "sub" since the convenience of the VP perks are worth it if you plan on playing daily.

The cost of a VP changes but it's around $15 but sometimes you can buy it at half that price if not cheaper. Price is based on a 30 day period. You can also buy them in-game using the central market but good luck, there's like a million pre-orders.

This is something I'd love to have as well. A permanent 1 time dye for my outfits! I'd swipe it every time for each outfit I have and new outfits I'd possibly get~

No you cannot "make" dye.  I started this game last spring, spent roughly $40 on permanent dyes and got lots of off color whites.   The dye you buy in the Pearl shop is not red or blue at all, but random mixtures of the color you requested.  Check out my thread "Fifty Shades of White..." when you have time.  

In August, I decided to sample the Central Market.  Here is what I learned so far;

1. You can only post for pure colors such as solid red, such as pure red or true red.

2. You are limited to 1 color per city at a time, you cannot request 2x or more of any 1 color.

3. Cost per dye is about 240K silver each, you must bid highest or you will be waiting longer than I already have.

I posted 40 dyes to purchase and got 2 in September, 3 more in October, and 5 in November.  You can see there is an exponential increase.  Only one of those dyes was black.  I still have black waiting on the other cities.  

Also I watched a YouTube video about the only "free dye quest" in the game.  This takes place in Heidel after you reach level 20 and have a gathering score of Apprentice or higher.  The youtuber showed you can run a shai to heidel leveling them up to 20 and take this quest, delete the shai and repeat gaining junk dyes.  Two dyes can be combined into 1 random color.   All of this is of course insane.  It would take even the best of players too long to run 2 shai up to level 20 to get 1 free random dye.  Then wait 24 hours for those characters to be deleted.  Even if you figured a quicker way, random dye is no choice.

I don't subscribe to Merv's palette, I don't keep VP on me 100% of the time.  However you can collect 200 Loyalty each day and use it for one day VP (every 2 weeks) 2800 Loyalty.  Currently I have about 4 days banked, plus over 6000 Loyalty.  It is  available when I need it.  I would be willing to spend money on more permanent dye, if they made the selection 'fixed' as they did with Merv's palette.  Buying a red dye for 50 cents and getting pink or maroon is not good system.
