Hello!

I was trying to log in to play the game but it keeps crashing after character selection and this only started happening since maintence. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have even checked file integrity and did a PC restart to see if that would do anything. It even crashed my browser at one point along with the game.

Is this only happening on one character? Can you still login with any other character? is it happen on your sorc? if you answer everything with yes ... welcome to the club. I have this problem for 2 months now and still no fix from any ticket or something else :x

I have similar, if i choose any server, i crash . just trying to touch it...bam! desctop

I had similar problem. After i tried to login on any character, bam desktop. I changed graphics settings in client to fast mode, low, low resolution, windowed mode and i got into game. After that i came back to remastered and its working.

Same problem here, EU though.

It happened after maint, but I also turned on OTP at that time so I'm not sure what causes the problem.

An auto login would be nice though, instead of having to pw and OTP every time xd

Ditto here. Only for me it locks up the entire internet connection.
I have to reboot every time.
It's not the firewall either, I've checked. I think that Anti cheat crap has a huge memory leak.

Same for me, endless attempts to log on usually, random crashes all the time for many months. No help from reports / tickets.

Quick solution for that (Steam version):

1. After the crash, log in to another character in your account.

2. Change back to the character that has been crashing upon selection.

Didn't find a solution on how to prevent this thing from happening, though.

I have fully uninstalled BDO(uninstalled and removed all files from my PC) maybe 16 times(low-ball estimate) in an attempt to get the game to run properly.
My drivers are all up to date. I don't have any viruses. It's not firewalls.
I've even had my PC reformatted once after the game started crashing with weekly updates.

Pearl Abyss will do nothing to fix this. This has been a major and untouched issue with the game for about 5 years. Your best bet is to restart your PC after each crash, and if that doesn't fix it, uninstall bdo entirely and reinstall it. It'll work again at least until next maintenance.
Try to avoid loading screens or cities, because it doesn't matter how good your PC is.
