Hello
I've been absent from the game for a year or so, and I'm thinking of returning, but I need a little help, mainly with picking a main.
My character team consists of a Shai, Mystic, Dark Knight, Ranger, Lahn and a Tamer (all at lv 56), but I wasn't able to commit to any of them. Well, actually I had a lot of fun with Shai but once I arrived at the arid region in the west (not entered the desert yet, lurking through the canyon around Shakatu) she became so hard to play that I cannot progress further without constantly dying (note that it was before Nova, Hashashin, Sage and Corsair came out). I knew she was mainly a life-skiller but I kept ignoring the fact that she drops out of late game.
The thing is that I've been out of touch with the game for so long that after all these updates I don't know what's what anymore. So I'm hoping that the forum here wil advise me on picking a class that will let me:
- NOT DIE easily: something tanky would be nice
- braindead: because I'm the type to button mash rather than plan complex combos
- self-sustain: I hate snorting health potions, so it would be nice if it had some sort of inbuilt self-heal skill or a good health leech
- able to go real far with turd gear: With my amount of currency (I think I have 200 mil in bank) the most I can afford is TRI gear so I'd like to be able to go as far into the endgame with that
- compleet the scenario: Playing this game for story sounds retarded but before I can focus on grinding I'd like to at least be able to finish every scenario quest...
Now I feel like these requirements look like a huge "go Berserker" sign but if you have any other recommendations I'd love to hear them.
Lahn
Look into Narchillia gear, That should solve all of your problems with Valencia as long as you stay away from Hystria/Aakman/Basilisks.
As for class, until you get to 61 with ~1800 skill points, no class feels finished. Some classes need 2100+ to be decent IE Ranger/Berserker.
From what you listed, Lahn is the strongest, if you go succession.
Wizard/witch (awakening) performs well with mediocre gear, have self heals and are rather simple and low apm to play.
Lahn on Succession. Top tier PvE grinder and doesn't require much thinking. :)
As mentioned by Vulpin, the gear given by questing will lead you above TRI gear, quest accessories are decent and you can get a PEN Capotia necklace through season (create one season char if you doesn't do it yet, and make the min requirement to get this reward). So no matter the class, you shouldn't worry too much about Valencia anyway.
But yes, succ Lahn may be good for you.
I think I'll go Zerk after all (since I already have Lahn but TBH I'm not that much into her), something is just plain fun about a hulking giant that goes nuts on a battlefield and has both close and long-range weapons (cannon arm FTW, Megaman on steroids). I come from long period of playing Vindictus and cestus Karok was my main there so I think I'll adapt fast.
One last thing I'd like to ask: can someone post a link to current meta awakening Zerk build?
Lahn is great, but if you want more tanky and slightly more braindead with selfsustain, Guardian is good. I have both tagged and both have their pros and cons. Lahn is fast and agile and does cool stuff but almost 1000 less HP .... and my Guardian dgaf and smashes.
