Dear Pearl Abyss,
What the actual fuck?
I'm gone for a month, come back to have all my characters stripped from their skills (A), most of their gear(B), most of them are at grindspots (C) where you dont want to be without even 1 gearpiece not equipped, let alone up to 5 pieces..
The skills reset are an annoyance, but sure, i'll do every skill preset of my 9 characters all over again.
But am I expected to buy every one of them complete new sets, to even be able to get to a safe place?
I am sad to have spend what I have spent in the pearl shop before my break, because I dont think I'm going to be enjoying my purchases or the game in general again.
What a way to trim the playerbase this way..
A: Class Reboot was significant enough (e.g. removal of some skills, addition of new skills, modification of many) to warrant refunding all character skills point. It is entirely reasonable they did this, and is common practice in MMOs. You can find out more about the Class Reboot on the Announcements page.
B: Oasis Event (including equipment) was only ever temporary, we were given ample notice it was ending and what to expect. From the outset it was stated on all Oasis Equipment we used that it was temporary. Any fault for failing to plan for this day lies at our (the players) feet.
C: Logging out in the middle of a monster zone is never recommended, doubly-so if you are going to be gone for any significant period of time. It's always a risk to do so.
PA have done nothing wrong this instance. In all honesty I'm not sure why you're complaining. Yes, you've been caught out, but the circumstances are entirely of your own doing, due to poor decisions or simply not making the effort to keep abreast of the goings on in the game.

OP is mad because he got a free skill reset that costs money and that is free stuff that he didn't earn got taken away.
