Any chance we can bring back over bidding for items when pre orders are concerned?

For people who don't know, the old market you had a max price you could get for an item, however players could post any amount over that so their order took priority.  You just couldn't see what the other players had for their over bid.

Now personally I think pen Blackstar weapons should be a max price of 200 billion, but the CM is not going to have the silver cap raised it seems.

Instead I think we should be able to place a 200b preorder or whatever value you want, but every silver over the max price that is used will instead be just taken as taxes and eaten by the Central market.

It won't make it more profitable or even profitable to make pen Blackstar weapons, but it will make it so that you can increase you order until yours is the top bid.  This could be extended to everything, if a player wants to order Caphras stones for 6m silver or 60m silver they should be allowed to.  This makes it so market manipulation can't happen while also removing the RNG lottery of out of stock items.

It would definetly help a little, but the root cause is the low supply due to the low max sell price.

I don't disagree, I am just trying to find an alternate method to the stupid RNG top bid method.  It would be better if the max bid price was raised by 50-100% on most of the sold out items, and some I would argue should be raised by 300-400% *cough* rough stone *cough*.

OK, so I looked through the PEN Blackstar main weapons.  Most of them only had one pre-order. The highest number of pre-orders on one was 5. 

Many had their last one sold today, and the majority had at least one sale in the last week. A couple don't have any pre-orders because they were filled today.

So unless you are playing Ranger like me, if you place a pre-order, you should get one reasonably quickly.

False, because the moment a Pen Blackstar is listed everyone that wants one puts their pre-order on it due to the 15 minute from the time it is listed until it goes to the random person mechanic.  So while on the surface it might look like your pre order will fill because you are the only one, in reality all pre orders get transfered over and many get added on top of that.  Last time on NA a pen BS went up 43 pre orders were up on that same weapon by the time it was actually sold.  Keep in mind people put what they really want as a pre orde while they are not logged in, but if something they alterantely want gets listed, they pull that order down, and put it up on the new listing.  Most people, myself included, have 2-3 sets of weapon swap coupons they never plan on using, so any pen blackstar I can put on my own class, it doesn't have to be the one that I actually need for my main.

With the 15 minute timer implemented, people put orders up on blackstars when they come up. mainhand blackstar has anywhere from 10-20 preorders, while awakening has 30-40.
