Plus one. Also infinite stamina when swimming. Even if the speed boost has a few seconds cooldown like it does now. Or even a bit longer.

I've wanted a mermaid outfit or class ever since the first summer event where we had to swim, in 2016 or ' 17. I don't remember when the first one was (because I find the pearl outfits for swimming hideous and I'm glad they added Shelle Belle and such. I did give my Corsair one of those but it doesn't fix the core issues I have. She's a mermaid).

I was super excited for Corsair, but needless to say I'm very disappointed with how she turned out.

Yes, I feel like her mermaid form should remain. Her phasing in and out is stupid. Also, she should have infinite stamina swimming. Hash can infinite run in the desert. Corsair is supposed to be a mermaid but can't swim any kind of distance at all, just like other classes. Honestly it should be possible to swim to Vell if you're so inclined. It's not like you're going to barter or something without a ship.

But PA never fails to baffle me... and I have lost hope for Corsair to become an actual mermaid in the water instead of the more "lakemaid"-like that she currently is. It's laughable and sad. Can't maintain form. Runs out of stamina super quickly. Disappointing all around. Heck if I had my way to make her truly special, we would have sea horse mounts by now :)

Do have to admit that her gameplay is a lot of fun, but that has very little to do with her being a mermaid aside from a handful of skills. I really wanted her awakening to have a trident and I dislike the harpoon gun... but I'd lie if I said I don't find it fun to play. Still, a trident would have made more sense. At least then when she magically drops something on a few heads it will make sense, unlike the anchor she currently does... from a... harpoon gun...? What? >.<

This is a great idea and would be great class flavor. I'd love for my corsair to be in mermaid form as soon as she hits the water. She's part mermaid so it only makes sense! Also it seems like a waste if we only get to see her mermaid form for brief moments in combat and when instant accel-ing underwater. :(

I had my ship get destroyed in the middle of Margoria and tried to get to land by swimming.  I was disappointed that someone who's supposed to be a "mermaid" actually isn't that much better in the ocean than any other class.  Yes, I agree she should stay in mermaid form.  I mean, if you can turn into a mermaid, why would you ever want to be swimming in the ocean in human form wearing wet clothes and high heels?  Although I do think she needs longer speed swim ability and either permanent stamina or at least it should regen much faster.  You would think someone who is half fish could swim a lot longer.  You don't see fish get tired and float to the top to regain their stamina.  In the end, I had to get someone to come rescue me in their boat.

Another nitpick is I swear she has legs and feet in "mermaid" form.  That's not really what I picture in my head when I think "mermaid".

Agreed with all of this. As I said in my post above, just look at Hashashin. He can infinite run in the desert. It's mind-boggling to me that they didn't do that for Corsair, but indeed instead make her stamina consumption so big. But then again, I almost never understand PA's decisions. It often feels like they just write down some stuff, number them up to 20 and then roll 1d20 for what they'll go with.

To keep the marmaid form is a nice idea, but to not "damage" other class, it could be implemented only the aesthetics and only when underwater (after pressing q from the surface). I think the changes in stamina and ability are too much, but maybe a 10% swimming speed would be fair.

2024 and we still don't have a proper 'mermaid form' for Corsair. Come on PA! You even released a Siren for pete's sake. Please turn Corsair into an actual mermaid class as she was advertised!
