I've played the game for almost 6 years now and I didnt know those arrows showed quest locations until I checked them after reading this thread. They are deffo there for no reason.
Same! Only been 4 years for me, but I had no idea those were quest locations till I tried hovering over them just now. All this time I had assumed those meant there was another player nearby but off the minimap, like when a white square is just out of range. Like how your party members shows up as a blue arrows when they get too far away. I had no idea. Mind blown.
I certainly could do without them. I obviously wasn't using them for their intended purpose anyway.

Why should PA do something you could do yourself, stop being lazy.
Because it's a QOL feature. Nobody cares about kill quests in Margoria Sea
