Have you ever seen Lost Ark? Best end game items you get just like that. Then you play and collect the materials needed for their enchantment. Then you enchant. Sometimes you have success and sometimes you fail but you NEVER LOSE what you already have.

Whole enchanting in BDO it's pointless precisely because a failed enchant is taking away your progress. In a few seconds you can lose everything you have achieved, e.g. for a year. It doesn't make sense.

I remember when I was playing Talisman Online. One of the best mmo (also p2w but not that much like BDO) enchant system. Item enchanting was "easy". You only had to play and kill mobs, each killed mob filled the weapon progress bar and after reaching 100% weapon was promoted to the next level. Similar system to caphras in BDO only that the caphras system in BDO from the very beginning was an epic fail because if cost of caphras needed to advance from tet to pen is twice as high as the price of a pen in a market, it does not make sense.

Conclusion: Pearl Abyss has only one way to save BDO: a completely progressive ALL items enchantment system.

Each item in game should have progress bar which fills up by killing mobs and exp from life skill. Also each item in game can be used to fill this bar. Short: items enchant same as we lvl up fairy. This automatically solves the problem with items that are rotting in tens of thousands in the market.

That's the fun part. You only lose progress on fail if you are a filthy F2P player. If you swipe, you doesn't lose progress on failed enhancement attempts.

But not losing progress is only convenience, and totally not P2W...

I totally agree with you, actually. I love BDO, but I need to take breaks from it from time to time in order to keep my interest going. In January I took a break to play WoW Arena with some friends for some weeks, and in the meantime I was logged into BDO in background while fishing, doing some world bosses, getting daily login rewards, event rewards etc. I would love to do the same while now testing Lost Ark, so I'm hoping for a fix as well. Loads of events in BDO right now that I don't wanna miss, but right now Lost Ark feels so fresh and fun that I can't stop playing.

You are right, totally agree with you. Thats why I quit BDO, when I understand that I can never reach an end game gear without investing whole life savings, world is end. I was loving BDO a lot, graphics, combat, nodes, life skills etc.... BDO supposed to be #1 game in the world but greedy devs destroyed game they did everything to make many people like me to quit. Heavy P2W, heavy RNG. They were always greed, want more money more money more money...

We already buy pets, outfits, valor packs etc. was paying more than 20-50€ every month to different things but still came nowhere in the game. Then I quit, and since 1 year or more you dont get even 0.001€ from me. Do they think they were smart? Does PA think will earn more money like that?

Look whichever mmo charts, top10 games in the market, wow, gw2, ffix, etc etc. Such a wonderfull game is not even at top 5 and most even dont count at top 10. Hope you get what you deserve PA!

Whoever I talk. loves BDO but says pointless to play because no respect to effort and company sees people like cows ready to milk. All about money, no one cares what you think, do you have fun or not, do you feel good in game. Just a shamefull management ever seen. Im so angry to the idiots whoever planned that logic. What to say. 

Weights = money, inventory slot = money, outfits = money, valor pack = money, enchanting = BIG MONEY, pets = money, mounts = money, ships = money, character slots = money, ... even breathing in game will cost money and still they try to fool people like a "its a free game"... seriously. 

To earn 10$ from 1000 people is better or to earn 1000$ from 10 people in a game which needs population to be alive? PA choose 2nd way and killed the game. whoever I know or we were playing together once, quit from game. We miss it much, but I can go and play casino games, poker, bet, lottery etc if I want to test my luck. I want to make progress, I want to spend high quality time, not bothering about moneterizing, inventory slots, character slots, not thinking which one should I buy this week, do I have money for it? Can I afford it etc? Thats why WoW was #1 for years even with that such a crappy graphics game. "People had fun!" They got back what they pay! So simple. How much IQ you need to understand that? And they had a group content, 5-10-25 man raids/dungeons, tank - heal - dps. Was that so hard for you to make 1 class tank, 1 class healer and make some dungeons to make some group content?

You made grind addicted game, stay a spot for months, kill 10 million same mobs, then someone come and 1 shot you from behind. gg. seriously?

They sold game and expansions after every couple year, and subs every month, rest is free. People do whatever they want. And RNG? They had the king of RNG; item drop chances by 0.001, specially some mounts etc once a million. But no one complained much because it didnt took anything from people like you, just they didnt give. And people cant be rage or mad for loosing something they dont have. But at BDO, when people start to loose items, reagents, currency, they felt the feeling of "wasting time" and never to reach end. Its just a trap to get money and mooooore money. Every time I grind, had fun of combat (expect getting heavy on bags and inventory slots etc), then when it came to enchanting or gearing up, all fun gone because you turned that wonderfull game to Black Casino. 

And balance? A class I like to play become garbage with another patch, or another class become so OP to be so fun but get nerf again. Roll and buy weights, inventory slots, life skills etc etc etc. Why why why? Seriously learn some economy. All people, all customers has a limit and if you push it, you loose that customer. 

So, I had a love and hate relation with BDO. I miss the game, installing to get in again, then remember what they made me live, then uninstall again... going to Lost Ark or G2 or D3 or whatever I find. BDO could be nr1 at the world, if company wasnt be so greedy. I wish they deserve what they do the people (wasting their time and money) and understand one day. Whoever plans these stupid logics, whoever is in charge of these moneterizing, I wish live the same. What to say, heart is broken once. Even I play LA, good game, etc. pros / cons. I miss BDO but dont want to live same frustrations again. That company is so greedy and hungry for money all time. They did everything to people to make them quit. Have more than 100 friends in around, from other games, etc. All were in BDO sometime, like time game, love the game but couldnt handle with idiotic stupid logical mistakes.

First thing :The topic was about playing both games , and answering that i want it , lot of content in BDO can be maded afk or semi-afk , and that's cool  , so yea i hope the problem will be solved , actually i love playing Lost Ark cause history and missions are refreshing and really interesting , but in future maybe appears other game with EAC . The problem is , we are asking PA to solve problem with EAC. and they'r 2 different companies. In any case BDO can change to other AC , but being realistic , is not worth for them .

Second thing : BDO is not diying cause enchancement system , shop or lot of shit things that i read above. 
BDO had a problem since lot of years ago , and it's the stuff that u can build on it , and progression in game .
What's the point on make what , 18 chars? all of them with different skills , with different kind of PROTECTIONS , with different RANGE , and with the same BUILD! , how can u prettend to balance classes with all that different kits with the same GEAR!.
It's pointless.

Enchancement system is HARD and maybe it's TOO hard , but that allow players to keep improving and ye that sucks in some way , cause game have really bad improvement over time in what progression means since 3 years ago.
But if u take a look in Lost Ark , what can they do whith "end game" when u reach max lvl , how much time you will spend in a game that the really good thing is the questing and exploration that they made.
What about 4 or 6 months since now , what they can give us , a 3v3 arena for always?The GvG system is more like a moba than other thing.. The pvp system is not bad at all but nothing compared with what bdo it is.

So answering in some way to the main topic , LA is  who should solve the problem with EAC if they want bdo players staying afk (maybe changing to other AC) , if not lot of ppl will go cause at the end , all of us play BDO for combat engine , no other game has that and even with all the bad things about the game ( that they can solve ) we still playing .BDO is not perfect , but maybe they change that . 
The artifacts is a first step in what they need to do for improve , more builds , more stuff  , different kind of styles to play and node-equipement for specific classes should be good.
In this way they can work in 1 v 1 aspects , and balance large scale fights with that stuff .

In enchancement system i would change just 1 thing , cronstones exchangeables for a multiple tokens ingame .
That means not wait for weeks spaming market , also with that they improve to play the game infact staying afk.

Yet when you enhance and fail, you still get upset? So that would be a lie in itself
