The two games are almost completely different in their core aspects. What BDO could try to emulate would be QoL stuff (which they have been very slow on responding to) and player rewards but for deeper gameplay things, I don't think BDO can or want to take anything from LA.
Let's use PVE as an example - for BDO, pve is simply a means to an end - that end being PVP and wars, and the game's combat system reflects that. It has one of the best fighting systems developed for an open world MMO, but plagued by desync issues and questionable balancing choices. And the devs enjoy making players fight for resources, even if they don't want to say so.
From what I hear, LA is focused on PVE and its PVP only goes as far as small scale, balanced battles. Which isn't bad since an isometric, dungeon-crawler, Diablo-esque game really complements that azar echatrandom formula.
That I agree to comparing LA to BDO is bad if you want to compare LA to anything it would be Diablo or Path of exiles and compared to does 2 LA is rather medicore game that bored me to death after just 4 hours. And it seams the popularity of the game has died allot.
Instead of comparing games like it would be a competition just play the ones you enjoy the most it´s simple as that.
