20m purification price completely kills the lightstones trade.

Also PA probably doesn't understand that maybe 0.001% of players have guru 1 in alchemy so should be changed to master 1.

Dear PA you give us catch up mechanisms, what about life skills? That's an extra 150 mastery in the lower levels doesn't change anything. We need much faster gaining life skills experience!

Counterpoint: Price is ok, things that are easily obtainable need to be sellable at a loss, otherwise it leads to an infinite silver exploit. Basically what we have here is lightstones as a type of trash loot. If you get a lot of them, at least you get something for them instead of just deleting them. And others benefit from any that are sold.  Not everything has to be a way to make a profit. Besides the fact that the drops are already created out of thin air to start with.

The finished good in any MMO should have an equal to or higher value than all the components.

Not in bdo. Here economy does not exist and players cry that nobody wants to sell anything.

And will continue to do so until the price of the finished item is worth twice the price of the ingredients and the shop tax is lowered from 35% to 5%.

The best example:

I don't even care Kutum lamp or Nouver statue production with a 30m profit.

In every mmo game craft pays off and master crafters earn a fortune, which is their reward for the contribution they had to progress life skills.

In every but not in bdo, in bdo PA does everything to disgust the life skill, and to force players into a pointless and boring grind of mobs.

I think that part of the point is to reward the people who actually put in the effort to get to guru alchemy. Granted, PA has stupidly made alchemy worse than cooking in many ways for some reason (e.g. worse mastery bonuses for imperial turn-ins and not being able to ever do 10 batches at once like cooking randomly does). So, plenty of players have not spent much effort on alchemy, but that doesn't mean that PA should necessarily lower the requirements to do stuff with alchemy. Rather, if anything, they should be making alchemy better and more worthwhile. Requiring guru for the lightstones arguably is a step in that direction, because it increases the value of getting your alchemy level to guru. That being said, they really need to do more so that alchemy is actually competitive with cooking.

And as for lifeskills gaining XP faster, I think that that's true for a number of the lifeskills, but if anything, alchemy is one of the better ones in that regard. It's skills like bartering, sailing, and training that have really terrible XP rates.

Sure, sure, "really fast". Did you read my yesterday's comments?

Life skill exp does not exist in bdo. Getting guru 1 in alchemy is unrealistic for 99.99% of bdo players.

It's not as fun and easy as cooking a million beers. It's pain in (.) because you have nothing easy and value to grind percent in alchemy.

Sure you can produce Pure Powder Reagent and/or Clear Liqu Reagent but even they require an expensive (with such quantity) Purified Water.

And good luck with their production on master lvls where you won't get even 0.01% for each production.

I am producing Elixir of Concentration because it's cheap and it can be packed in artisan boxes, so at least there is some profit from it and only have master7.

I have G14 Alchemy, very rarely do I ever show up in the top 30 spots let alone ever being high enough for an icon.  Getting Guru Alchemy is actually very easy, there are lots of players with Guru alchemy way more than 0.01% of the players, I would guess about 5-10% of the playerbase has Guru Alchemy.

Who have been playing since premiere and before the cooking and alchemy nerfs.

What about those who have been playing for a month or six months?

Where is catch up mechanism for life skills?

It's bad time for Europe to check but even master3-4 can give you place in top 30 (on this channel):

The money you lose doing alchemy to level it up is more than it cost to purify them with the NPC....
