I have thought of many ideas:

New Mount Outfits that give them, Instant, S-Instant & Drift.

Shai Only: Instant, S-Instant & Drift.

Or the easiest game changing fix: Shai Play a Song: 1 hour Donkey & Alpaca movement speed buff.

(So they are on par with a T8 155 speed Horse before adding your Shoe speed.) This should get them up to about 160-161+ speed with a T10 Shoe.

People want to use these but we also don't want it to take 45 mins to go from Grana to Valencia. This is a very simple but game changing fix.

PS. This past week you gave every player that did 3ish imperial horse trades a "free" T8 Pure White. People want to use these novelty mounts on the Shai but they are just too slow for normal gameplay.

Agreed.  Donkeys and alpacas will never be viable alternative to horses unless they are comparable in speed.

They're cute and I'd love to use them, but until they're made similarly as fast, there's just no point.

The irony of them releasing them today after handing everyone the FASTEST horse in the game (minus the T10 Pegi) for bassically free is just so laughable.

Shai have had this problem from day one. Which is why they had to, cave, and let then ride horses in the first place. But this could have been fixed so very long ago if they just gave them a way to cover the spread. A Song Buff would be the fastest easy fix.

I want the devs to sit down and ride a Shai mount from Grana to Valencia, just do it ONCE and try to tell me this is ok.

I'd be fine if donkeys and alpacas are fast for Shai all the time as a permanent buff.  They could justify it in a couple ways: 1) Shai is tiny and weighs very little, 2) Shai and her donkey/alpaca have a magical bond that could give a buff of "Light Feet" or something like that.

Alpaca can get skill "Gwdy-up!" to "Go even faster."  We'll see if this skill makes much difference.  I have a feeling it's going to miss the mark, but I'll have to try and see.

It's just not fair to punish Shai with slow movement mounts.

There was a shai riding and training their alpaca in Duvencrune a little early, and it was simply the definition of adorable.

Pearl Abyss have absolutely hit the mark in terms of the fashion side of things with the alpaca, I really hope they continue to put in an effort and make them functionally useful too. After all, above all else a mount is for one thing; to effectively get from a to b, if they don't satisfy this requirement nothing else they do/look like can compensate and they simply won't be used.

It would be really nice to see them out and about in the world.

And probably the best way to use Fwuzzy to travel fast is to dismount, autorun and use the long range whistle :)
Or tag Shai with a char that has a fast horse.

I timed it. It takes the Alpaca 8 mins and 50 seconds to auto path from Heidel to Stonetail Ranch. Almost a 20 minute round trip!!!

No one at PA play tested this. Not a single person.

Dream Alpaca? Mythical Alpaca? I also suggested they allow us to grow our baby elephants to the size of guild ones. No dice so far. Keep chipping away! We might get it someday.
