The Deboreka Problem:

1. You are grinding for an item you need to grind the location it drops from.
2. All of your progress to PEN Ogre Layten Tungrad etc etc is now voided.

Please seriously consider the following suggestion:

Make Deboreka follow the Fallen God method. How?

You grind Ash for a Ruin, the Ruin starts a Quest where the NPC will tell you a ghost story if you then show him/her a Specter's Energy. After you listen to his story he/she tells you to bring the Ruin, Specter's Energy, and a "Very Powerful Piece of Jewelry" to a crafter. From there you head to the Jewel Crafter and Turn in: 1. The Ruin. 2. Specters Energy 3. A PEN Ogre or Layten or Tungrad. And he/she in return gives you a PEN Deboreka Necklace with your name on it.

And the same for Crypt with Belt and so on. Until you receive the entire Ghost Story Line. The "Theme" being YOUR Gear is being fused with the Spirit of a Ghost.

Why do this?

1. You preserve the progress that the highest geared players worked so very hard for. (Or swiped for.) And are not asking them to repeat the exact same process all over again.
2. Players grinding these zones will then sell the accessory drops which will feed the market so players enhancing to reach the end game can benefit from having access to these 5 years into the game.
3. It's better for business. Asking the very highest geared players to start over is a very big ask, but baiting newer players with more powerful items on the marketplace will entice them to buy outfits to melt for Cron to enhance for PEN.

I believe taking the Fallen God (Pen Boss Gear C10) approach, which at the end of the day is what I'm proposing would be the VERY BEST and most healthy way to manage Power Creep. Everyone wins.

And before any Negative Nancy comes along: 1. The Ruin should be as Rare as the Flame was. (And no pitty method this should be OG pot farming hard.) 2. Specters Energy are also Very Rare. 3. YOU NEED A PEN ALREADY!

You know you don't need deboreka to grind ash forest?

Yeah I know you don't technically need it but ultimately if you had it, then it would be a much smoother grind.

And yeah I know lightstones have been a game changer but those are new and this was on my mind long before we got those.

Crypt... Still waiting to crack that AP + Accuracy code.

But if this was a Story Driven / Fallen God Progression then you could get the +5 AP at Ash to help with Crypt, then get the Bonus from Crypt to help the next location, and so on. Then the entire Spirit Accessory set would be a long grind but each zone rewards you each step of the way without reverting to: Hey, go enhance to PEN all over again that would be hilarious to watch you have to do.

You realize, that every time someone attempts a debo to PEN PA earns up to 900$ ?

Ultimately you have much smoother grind in sulfur if you have deboreka aswell, just like if you have any gear. By this logic you should ask the same for every item.

Also you aren't even right. Having a PEN debo not gives you noticable difference in ash. AP scales very poorly at 301+AP. (I wouldn't even be surprised if it would be an AP capped zone. If I remember correctly someone did a test on that on the old forum actually...)

The reason why they did put 300AP on the map is due to their cluelessnes. It's an acc heavy spot (just like crypt), and since they not use accuracy recomedation on the map, they just smash a high AP on those spots, but for decent classes, you can go there with less AP, and still be fine.

Getting out a flame is significantly easier, even without pitties, than getting out the required cronstones, FS, and bases for a debo. Your suggesiton would devalue the item. It's also pretty pointless tbh, there are lot more players with pen debo than you think. It was a rare item 2years ago, but atm half of the chanells are taken in ash, as with the current gear level, that isn't a practically difficult spot.

If anything they should buff the spot a little, as atm it's trash barely covers the cost of consumables, and maybe increase the max market price on the debo items too.

The AP that PA uses on the map is irrelevant. PA devs don't play with their own game, hence they pretty much randomly put the numbers here.

Like ppl atm farm ash forest starting from 280is AP, despite it being a 300AP spot. Sheet AP have no relevance in the first place, as your damage is calculated from your total AP, which can be significantly different with your items, class and buffs....
