As of recently, they literally seem in the process of downgrading the game, "streamlining" away everything that was special and unique - also to be seen with the graphical downgrades and reduction of detail in parts of the world.
I suppose this is a cost-cutting measurement: only one animation for all classes is easier to maintain and to implement new content to.
This is, however, not a treatment worthy of a AAA title.
I am fearing that the game is entering max profit squeeze out mode, aka slow and dragged out death and player base drain. This is sad from the perspective of someone who loves BDO for the special little things, the attention to unique detail which you don't habe in sone random cheap ass mmo - milkmachine.

I really really hope you are wrong. But I see your points.
But I don't see the cost reduction to be honest. I thought it would be implemented once and then you are basically doen with it. Not even trying to maintenance it.
Maybe if we organize a walking march across the desert or something it will heighten awareness of this issue. We'll call it "attack of the zombie horde".
If nothing else, the induced lag would be amusing.
Instructions unclear, walked in a field of desert fogans and was brutally mutalated.
This update seems to truly baffle me and everyone else who has seen it. I mean, even in the patch notes its described in a way that makes you wonder if they already knew this wouldnt be popular. There is a huge misrepresentation of what the notes say and what they actually did. If they really want to upgrade the experience for us, why not just let us choose from the variety of walks that were already in the game instead of class/gender locking them in the first place? This update proves that the walks seem to be compatible with all classes. I dont think anyone was complaining about this before they messed with it.
I don't mind the walk, personally, I do think it looks far more natural and my character isn't gonna break a hip from swaying so much anymore.
BUT! I have seen a plethora of negative feedback from roleplayers and non-RPers, across the board.
It would be a perfect solution just to have a setting somewhere to activate the Legacy walk animation for those that want it, and let others use the new one.
still waiting for that global voice customisation though...
Rumour has it the RP walk animation was changed because PvPers were using it as a form of 'teabagging'. I'd like my sexy rp walk back >.>

If that's the reason then I wish they would say so. Though im having a hard time picturing how that could be the case. It would have been a far better explanation of what is going on with this
Personally I like the change (not that I really use walk, actually I hardly see anyone ever walking about). It feels far more natural to me (though perhaps the arms swing a bit too much now, but nothing's perfect). Previously it was like my character was strutting down a catwalk, and I really disliked that.
I am with you on that. I only checked it in my female classes, but it looks more natural now. I was always laughing at my dk cause she walked like she never had high heels on an tried for a catwalk. Now she just walks normal without that stick up her bum

Dont think thats true tbh. Never heared of it or saw it. I doubt most pvp players kbow how to use the walking animation
the catwalk was fine >.> next thing you know they'll remove kibelius because its too sexy and change dk animations because of the innuendos.
