It would be extremely nice if we could enable basic features like showing the damage numbers, especially since they are already exist in the game, just can't be enabled on the live servers.

Even if not in the open world, having it enabled in BA would be a good addition for testing purposes, similar to how enemies protections are shown.

I can see it being useful in certain instances, like comparing gear.  But it would also be nice if in those instances, damage was consistent.

For example, going to a specific battle arena, and knowing that if I hit someone with skill X, it always uses the same crit hit, ignore resists, etc, so I could flip out weapons and see what impact that makes to my build (ie: going from high AP/low accuracy to lower AP/higher accuracy) etc.  And counter to that, they could test DP gear against a consistent opponent, and see how much damage is being done to them.  Rather than the current "hit someone a bunch of times, change gear, hit someone a bunch more times, kinda guess if it is doing better/worse or you just got a lucky roll"...

Why?

For starters to see if some places are actually AP capped lke people theorize they are.

Game is pretty much about grinding, and you can't even see if your attack are landing or missing.
You don't know whether you need more accuracy or you can add more AP to your gear set up.

Basic PvE elements are still missing in 2021. Come on, man!

Why?

Also so we can see right away when things are clearly just broken. Things like this.

Shouldn't have to spend an hour equipping something than unequipping it over an over again to see if an item is doing something it shouldn't be doing.

An if something like this occurred once than you can bet it occurring more than once. We just don't realize it happening cause what going on under the hood an in the engine isn't told to us. We can only smash are face pointless into a wall to see if the game is working properly, cause PA refuses to give us the tools to see if their game is working as intended. Most likely because than they can't hide behind BS PR statements when we can show proof that their BS is just that BS.

You know that would expose them on class balance though.  That is undoubtedly the primary reason they haven't included this for us to see.  All that convoluted stuff they showed us about each class taking different damage from different classes, etc.  I agree though, actually seeing our damage done, hits versus misses, effects of our DR and EVA...that would be very helpful to optimize builds.  They have said in the past though, that they don't want people to min/max...which is obvious garbage though...as that is what people do anyway...even without the actual numbers.  People will just guess if they have to, in order to min/max. This would also expose the myths about certain classes doing excessive damage...when you actually get to see how much each classes skills do and compare. If nothing else, this should be visible against training dummies in some sort of test area...that would be a decent compromise. Maybe customizeable test dummies where you set the test dummies stats and see how effective you are.
