The reward is fun.

Aren't you playing it cause fun aren't you?

partly, but progressing needs to be a part of it. The entire Game should be fun. Grinding as the only option to get progress is NOT fun. Its frustrating, limiting and takes away from what the game has to offer. The reason endgame players are where are where they are is caue they enjoy grinding for hundreds of hours. Most ppl cant afford to do that, most ppl dont think grinding is fun, hence why BDO is not the most succesful MMORPG in thw world (it definitley could if it reworked progress). I want to combine fun activities WITH progress. Its not outrageous, its not even a crazy amount, but it will get more ppl to endgame and more ppl to enjoy endgame PvP activities like Nodewars and Sieges, where GS above 650+ is almost mandatory. And yes, 650 is "easy" to archieve, just grind for ~500hrs. My friends, sure you will reason this is just that kind of game, but it doesnt make it okay.

Yes, it adds something to the game. But it adds something to the game that can change the entire concept of the game step by step. I know such developments from other MMORPGs. BDO is an open world pvx sandbox mmorg. This means that PVE and PvP content belong together in a uniform open world. But if you add instances, that is Rewarding, then players have less reason to make their progress in the open game world. This also separates PvP and PvE from each other.

Ultimately, the question is how far this development is driven. In other MMORPGs it was the beginning of the end of Open World Content. AOS seems to be very popular at the moment. If you also reward this, further demands will follow. Some player still want to have PvE servers or some challenging dungeons. Basically, that's not a bad thing. This content is obviously more fun for players than grinding in the circle. Players enjoy different things and want to have different experiences. I just don't want to a split PvEvP or have more instances. I would just like to give the open World more content, which is also fun instead of focusing on instances.

There is no open World Sandbox MMORPG with this quality like BDO. All other good mmos are themepark mmo, where the main content is just in instances and where PvP and PvE are split. i just dont like this.

i can agree that AoS is taking away from the open world. But what does the open world have to offer? Lifeskills, can be fun, barely any progress tho, in essence you play it only if you enjoy it or you have a passive setup with a monthly 80€ energy bill. Ocean content is the same, can be fun, no progress... You can play the story. You can grind - not fun for most, most progress - why? Cause its the main part of the game i guess. Nodewars/Siege may be considered open world. But you cant participate if you dont have a certain GS so you have to grind.

Open world PvP is filled with ppl getting upset about getting griefed, or ppl griefing grinders that just want to progress, so PA is slowly deincentivising it.

So there are a couple things but in comparison to how much you need to do everything to progress it vanishes. You might complain about me mentioning progress so much and that its not about that. You're lying. There is no content besides AoS that doesnt need insane amounts of silver to progress further and there is no other goal besides progress.

PvP requires Gear

Lifeskills requires Gear

Ocean Content requires Gear

This game is about Gear

They just dont want you to have it. Cause if they do why would they take it away again?

400 mil per match is obviously too much, yes. But i dont think that is what they meant. When people suggest "300-400mil" they mean this number on average per hour of playing. Not including queuing time (as this can get fairly long for some people).

Considering a large part of the PvP population (clearly not everyone, but many) have enough gear to consistently get 700+mil per hour, getting half of that for an hour of PvP seems pretty fair to me. Punishing players for playing a gamemode that was newly added by not giving any rewards just seems very counterintuitive for me.

I think everything  should be similar money per hour based on gearscorw. Since  the higher you go up in score the more money you need per hour. I personally don't think instances are an issue if they tie it to the world. Shake bay had a great idea to have dungeon keys drop from the group grind areas. And that alone limits those entries. But what about shadow arena? Altar of Blood?  Tower defense with rifles Rift thing. All of these can work in the game as either  a weekly participation reward or just rotate what's available every month. Variety is needed in bdo. That's what prevents burnout.

That variety also needs to be worth people's time spent doing it.

it wont help you with progressing the game tho. So you can be crazy in AoS, but can never participate in NWs, Sieges, Elvia Dungeons etc. cause you didnt grind. 300-400m/h is not much considering that current endgamespots can net you 1.2b+/hour.

All I'm asking for is not being restricted by the game on what i need to do to participate in all of the content. Additionally a decent reward for the time spent palying is appropriate. Players already spent hundreds of hours in this, what did they get? Nothing. They do it for fun. But fun wont always be there when you see that you have to stop playing your favourite content if you wanna participate in anything else.

If someone wants to do NWs he has to stop pvping to get access to NWs. How does that make sense?. Check out any other game and you will see rewards for time spent in activities. Here you get pities.

then what you are actually looking for is not a MMO but a MOBA or even a Battle royal game, it seems weird to me that you havent realized yet.

Those games are long term open world progression based now,  with a competative in game trade market?

If so then yes it's what I'm looking for as well
