So about a couple of weeks ago now I took a break from Tower of Fantasy to check on my AFK BDO, (because lets face it that's all it is now to MOST "players,") and I see someone whom I know has played the game way shorter than me PEN a Blackstar. I send the game to tray and spent $100 on Tower of Fantasy. Why? Because BDO is worse than a gacha game. A gacha game at least has a pitty system around its character progression. I figure if I'm going to gamble at least I'm getting Frig & then later Claudia for my money guaranteed. So, less of a gamble and more like buying DLC. Overpriced DLC but better than wasting my money on anything Peal Abyss makes.

Being the Heidel Ball today I assumed we would get more welfare and of course we did. And of course I knew those welfare lottery tickets (J's Hammer & Cron) were worthless. I was right of course Three more fails going for just TET Godr well over 20 fails now. And that's when it occurred to me just how much worse BDO is than gacha games. Because you basically have an infinite spend with no return, EVER. You put your cron into the slot machine & it always fails. So you can just throw hundreds to thousands of dollars away on nothing. For the Price of a PEN Blackstar you could speed run any gacha on the market with max characters.

Black Desert Online is absolutely rotten to ideological CORE. This Heidel Ball like all the others shows no glimmer of fixing that problem. Instead we get a new way to make mounts even less relevant and at the end of it all you receive a "Pick Your Own SSR" trap. Translation: Pick Gloves. Covert To Fallen God. Fail at 30 durability a pop, buy Cron buy Artisans. Well, played PA. I'm so excited for that. (Not.)

Every event, every announcement, is just another layer of paint on this giant turd: Grind, Gamble, Fail, Repeat. OR Grind FOREVER & Buy Peoples Stuff When They Quit The Game.

Black Desert Online is the Meta Verse, it is Digital Serfdom. You grind to sell items to people who drive $200,000 cars and post the max amount of Pearls on the CM so they can just skip all the boring, repetitive, miserable, depressing, life ruination, aspects of BDO. You are a Gold farmer in WoW for a rich Plantation owner. And it shows no signs of slowing down. Just keep putting on that paint and hope you can court some new serfs to grind for the whales.

All it would have taken to get me to Buy the Dark Knight statue before Godr was let my TET Blackstar go to PEN and all it would have taken to shut me up today was to let a stupid III go to a IV. But, NO, I cant get an accessory to go, I can get my stupid weapon to go, I can’t get anything to freaking go. So, my money decided it will forever go elsewhere. I will not be a slave grinding for lottery tickets. Find someone else to work your planation. I hope you run out of whales and you have to crawl on your knees to win customers like me back because the enhancing system is going in the trash or the servers can just go down forever at this point for all I care.

The year is 2024 here are your new zones, here is your new power creep drops, grind, gamble, fail, repeat, FOREVER SLAVE!

There is not only ZERO satisfaction in the BDO Gear progression there is negative down right loathing HATRED for it. There are not enough words in the English language to describe how much I hate this system; this Zombie that you just wont let go. It sucks. Fix it or the entire game will continue to SUCK! If you think you will bring is this crap to Crimson Desert cancel the game right now.

nah it is because tower of fantasy has bikes and robots while than in black desert we are stuck with horse :^(

I don't get it. People that hate bdo, why do you play it? It's not like you are forced, lol. The game is not for everyone. Find a game that fits your style.

Hmm as someone who was told to try solare in this game it would be great fun.....

Its ok at best btw do to the same issues with PVP that were there when I left. Glad theres no one shotting though in there feels better because of that.

I found extremely nice quality of life like garenteed pens, garenteed accessory thats pen, progression paths not strictly tied to RNG, the Godyr weapon path to get a boost towards pen blackstar, instanced grind zones. all of this is super nice.

So I decided I would watch the heidel ball and although the beginning was confusing AF  overall I am impressed with what I saw.
