No interest in the game. I am done migrating to other MMOs anyway. After I get tired or if anything happens to BDO I am retiring from the gaming world.
I'm old. ;)
I'm amazed that amazon did not pulled the plug yet, tho mostlikely this expansion was halfdone already, so they was like, just release it why not?
They did made some improvements on the game, but the core issues are still persist, nothing was fixed (surprising).

Cause they can't afford to cause at that point their only original game isnt theirs and is lost ark kek.
Also the games currently gaining back players not losing them. Tbh I think it's gonna be like ESO in the way it makes a comeback that game was also dog water on release and now it has a playerbase. Not my cup of tea but there are players on that game.
A lot of the issues I had with new world were fixed or greatly improved so we shall see .

Indeeded, it have pretty much the same playerbase as bdo do, so that can be counted as a sucess, tho it will forever remain a small niche, not really what a multibiliondollar company like amazon wanted to, remember amazon game studios had a yearly budget of 500million or what dollars, where is it kekw
My husband is a contractor for Amazon, he has nothing to do with this game other than he knows some people. They went into this project with the goal to publish a game created with their "Lumberyard" system. Since the Lumberyard is free they only benefit, if or when developers buy into to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) attached to it. They made their money selling the games and packages, but when I watched my husband play testing, it holds no appeal to me. While some may think it is the cat's pajammas, I don't care for the lack of certain mechanics; e.g. housing, crafting, magics, combat, etc. and this is the meat of the whole game. They don't need to pull any plugs because the AWS is owned by Amazon, not costing them all that much, as it still serves as an advertisement, and they will continue to sell junk to people who play it. Honestly there are worse MMOs but New World is not my cup of tea.
Why is it, so many of these games, have you wash ashore after a shipwreck? Do the authors lack any creative imagination at all? Well no matter what you play, have fun!
