Lately I've been experiencing a lot of BSOD so I started to investigate. What is happening I say? It's only BDO crashing so what gives? Well, as it turns out, BDO under some circumstances attempts to submit an incorrect bit address (32bit <> 64bit) in memory and causes the game to crash or BSOD. The exact situation on when this happen is unknown because obviously I don't have any means to trace the problem especially with EAC being in the way.

The second issue is the constant SSL errors where the handshake fails through socket connection or "mixed content" or the certificate is invalid for different parts of the program including google analytics. This may not be much of an issue but these problems grow over time especially when they fill the log files. There are also cross-origin errors "denied" which is somewhat related although it could be a cross-origin policy on the server that isn't correctly setup. Also some content becomes blocked for example Message: Mixed Content: The page at 'https://launcher.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Main' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure font 'coui://ui_data/Font/Web/notosans_regular.ttf'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

The third issue is memory allocation and how it fails to allow more than 4,640,768kb of memory (presumably, there's no unit of measurement) but it causes a fatal error when it exceeds this amount at least according to the logs. Mind you I have 64gb of memory and I'm pretty sure that BDO allows more memory to be used, maybe it thinks the limit is 4gb when it bugs out?

The constant pipe_error like there are just so many. What are these? What does this mean? I don't know, but they are numerous in quantity.

Example: ERROR:ipc_channel_win.cc(502)] pipe error: 232

Then there are errors like these that appear all the time "ERROR:latency_info.cc(157)] RenderWidgetHostImpl::OnSwapCompositorFrame, LatencyInfo vector size 106 is too big." Does this mean that the vector size overlfows? Does it mean that the definition doesn't match the request? I don't know, but it's enough of a problem to fill the logs.

There are also errors that appear in console.log which have "Uncaught ReferenceError: setMessageText2 is not defined" and this is prominent enough to appear over and over and over again. There's also getLanguage and setMacAddr and setLauncherDisplayMode, setDownloadProgress etc etc etc...

Lastly, the log files do get enormously big which may actually cause the game to crash over time. I think that this is what happens when you swap between characters, the log file keeps incrasing dramatically in size. Instead, if the log file is of a certain size, it should create a new log file, like normal log files work. console.log console_1.log console_2.log etc... Each about 2mb in max size instead of an unlimited amount.

I won't make this list very long but I think that these errors may seem mundane at a glance but they can actually cause a heap of problems over time. When the game constantly encounters warnings and errors and then has to write to the log, it makes the game slower, especially with UI related stuff. It's really messy and there's a lot of these types of errors. I hope this post was useful.
